Last June, Simple Plan came back to Australia for a tour along with We The Kings and also with a young Australian band called The Never Ever, playing mostly the cities on the east coast of Australia.
The Never Ever just released a video on their YouTube channel that documents the whole Simple Plan tour they had the opportunity to attend. The members of Simple Plan are also featured in it, so not only you will see them performing with Christina Parie or being jumped on stage by half-naked members of We The Kings, but you can also check out Pierre giving The Never Ever a pep talk.
Christina Parie, Australian singer who recently toured with Simple Plan on their Australian tour along with We The Kings, and who sang the female vocals in Jet Lag with them, was in Los Angeles in August, where she also met up with Pierre and Chuck from Simple Plan for a little songwriting session. Today she finally released one picture from this day and you can check it out below:
After their Australian tour, Simple Plan became good friends with a local singer (and former X Factor contestant), Christina Parie, who got their attention after they saw her cover version of Jet Lag on YouTube and invited her to tour with them as the female singer on the song in Australia.
Christina is now in LA, which is “coincidentally” where Pierre flew yesterday and Chuck today, and according to one of her tweets, she will be meeting up with the guys tomorrow for a songwriting session. Most probably though it will be Christina’s song, not Simple Plan’s.
Christina Parie, a 16-year-old singer, former finalist of the Australian X Factor, who thanks to her cover of Jet Lag that she posted on YouTube, managed to get a spot as a female singer of Jet Lag on Simple Plan’s Australian tour, yesterday published her last vlog from this tour.
In this video, apart from her own thoughts about this whole experience, you’ll be able to check out her very last performance of Jet Lag with Simple Plan on stage and also how the guys from SP like to spend their free time backstage:
During the last couple of days, Simple Plan played another three concerts from their Australian tour – in the cities of Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. Check out the photos from all three shows in the gallery:
And it was the last mentioned show – in Sunshine Coast – which was also the last stop for We The Kings at this Simple Plan tour. We The Kings are now heading back to the US to play on Warped tour, while Simple Plan (and Christina Parie) continue touring Australia. Of course the members of We The Kings wanted to spice up the last day of their Simple Plan tour, so they stripped down and just in their underwear walked onto the set of Simple Plan, while they were playing their latest single Summer Paradise and surprised both the band and the local crowd.
Charles Trippy, who is currently playing bass guitar in We The Kings, but is mostly known as a vlogger, uploaded on one of his side YouTube channels a video of this We The Kings’ little prank on Simple Plan and you can check it out below. Also, if you’re interested in the whole CTFxC vlog from that day, which also includes recordings of the final photoshoot of all the bands on this tour, check it out here.
The pictures from this little photoshoot of all the bands on the Australian Get Your Heart On! tour – that is Simple Plan, We The Kings, The Never Ever and also Christina Parie, can be found in the gallery, just like a brand new Simple Plan photoshoot from Belgium:
