On Friday’s show in Stuttgart, Germany, which kicked off the second half of Simple Plan’s European tour, the band performed their new single ‘Singing In The Rain’ live for the first time!

As you may have already read yesterday, during last night’s Simple Plan show in Stuttgart, Germany, the guys called up on a certain fan, who took the stage for a couple minutes with a special announcement. This fan was Luggi, originally from the Czech Republic, who decided to take this opportunity to ask his girlfriend of 4 years to marry him. And yes, she said yes! Big congratulations to the happy couple!

Tonight, Simple Plan played the first show of the second half of their 2016 European tour in Stuttgart, Germany. There were many surprises throughout the show such as new design of the ‘Summer Paradise’ beach balls (black & white) or a surprise on-stage marriage proposal [which I will cover in a separate article along with a video from the cute moment], but the the fans were mostly looking forward to seeing which songs Simple Plan decided to play on this tour.
And while the setlist may change slightly, just like during the first leg of the tour Simple Plan kept changing 4 songs on the setlist, you can see that most of the songs stayed very similar to the first leg’s setlist with one major addition: the newest single ‘Singing In The Rain’, which the band performed for the first time ever live on stage in Stuttgart. Meanwhile another fan-favorite, The Rest Of Us was unfortunately not played last night, however it did appear on the printed setlist – it seems the guys may have skipped it to make room for the proposal.

Simple Plan returned to Germany last night with a sold-out show in Cologne‘s E-Werk venue. During the whole day, the guys took over their Snapchat account (simpleplanmusic) and updated from the moment they woke up all the way until the show itself.

As you could have noticed, during soundcheck, he guys invited one of their fans – Marco – to join them on the stage and play ‘I’m Just A Kid’ with them. And that wasn’t all – during this song, Pierre switched places with Chuck and played the drums for this song, while Chuck ‘played’ the guitar and tried to hype up the crowd.
