Simple Plan bowling with Jack Barakat

As yesterday was their night off on their Canadian tour, Jeff, Pierre a Seb decided to spend it together on a bowling alley, and tagged their friend Jack Barakat from All Time Low along. Photos from this fun evening are already up in the gallery and you can start guessing which of the guys hides under which nickname: who is Stinker, Nice, Splinktor and who is Jay Rock? :)

Stream of Simple Plan’s webchat

Pretty much on time, the guys from Simple Plan (all except for Jeff) gathered around one of their laptops to record another live webchat with their fans, along with a few members from All Time Low, Marianas Trench and These Kids Wear Crowns.

Afer a few failed attempts in the past, the guys finally managed not to forget to record it, so now you can stream the whole webchat below:

And what did we get to know in this webchat? Not much of a high importance… well, except for one thing. Chuck knows pretty well how much we are all dying to know more about the promised surprise they have in store for us, so he decided to give us a bit of a clue.

According to Chuck, the surprise is somehow connected to the new single – that is – it is linked to Summer Paradise. Can we expect another music video? Maybe this time finally with K’Naan, who sings on the original version of the song? Or something completely different?

Good Charlotte and All Time Low welcomed SP!

One of the positives about the Bamboozle Roadshow is that on one place you can spot many different bands, who know one another from previous tour or else. You may remember that in 2005 Simple Plan and Good Charlotte performed together at Asia Aid and then also did a whole tour together. The roads of these old friends have crossed again this year at the Bamboozle Roadshow, where Simple Plan joined Good Charlotte and other bands at the tour through US cities.

Simple Plan’s first show of the tour could not be ignored by Benji Madden from Good Charlotte, who took to his Twitter to say: “Watched Simple Plan today. They were great. Hear the Simple Plan classics was awesome! Welcome to the tour fellas!” Then he also invited the Simple Plan guys to join him at his bus the next day (today) and watch the World Cup together.

And it wasn’t just Good Charlotte, who was pleased to have Simple Plan on tour – the members of the american band All Time Low have been repeatedly tweeting the SP guys about how badly they wanted to tour with them – and their wish came true this summer! Furthermore, the first day that Simple Plan played at Bamboozle Roadshow, it was also Jack Barakat’s (All Time Low) birthday. During the Simple Plan show, he tweeted: “Watching Simple Plan. I feel like Pierre Bouvier is singing to me.” And Pierre confirmed that afterwards. :)

These (and more) bands will continue with their tour together at the Bamboozle Roadshow in the next few days, so hopefully we will soon have some videos and photos of the bands together.
