Before Pierre headed to Florida for his band’s short “residency” at the Walt Disney World in the past few days, him and his family spent a couple days vacationing at their usual spot in Barbados. On March 9th, Pierre and his wife Lachelle opted for a night out in a local Red Door Lounge bar, where they spent a nice evening with a few friends.
The bar recently published a bunch of pictures from that night – including some where Piere posed for pictures with others, which you can now check out in the gallery:
There were some other funny characters to be found at the World Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida yesterday besides Mickey Mouse and his friends. Simple Plan started their two-day residence there yesterday with first three shows as a part of the Garden Rocks festival, which attracted hundreds of people.
During their three 30-minute sets, which took place at 5pm, 6:30pm and 8pm, Simple Plan introduced three different setlists, two of which you now have the chance to see for yourself on the following two videos, which capture the first and the third set of the day. Interestingly – the band started all these sets with their old intro “siren” music, which you may remember from MTV: Hard Rock Live (coincidentally, also filmed in Orlando, Florida).
Pierre even reminisced about the time his band played Disney World for the first time – in 2002 – which is where he first met his now-wife Lachelle (see the second video at mark 10:45 for the full story), who was there along with their two children. Besides Lachelle and Pierre’s children, the rest of the guys also took their wives and kids to see Disney World and for the kids to see their Dads play in the process as well. Check out the first and third full set Simple Plan played including their setlist below:
5:30pm setlist:
1. Shut Up!
2. I’d Do Anything
3. Jet Lag
4. Welcome To My Life
5. I’m Just A Kid
6. Perfect
8:00pm setlist:
1. Shut Up!
2. The Worst Day Ever
3. Addicted
4. Boom!
5. I’m Just A Kid
6. Perfect
And even though we do not currently have the second show in its entirety, we know that Simple Plan incorporated ‘What’s New Scooby-Doo’ into this particular setlist. Check out a video of them playing this old-school track below:
Simple Plan will be performing three sets at Walt Disney World again today, so until then, check out the atmosphere at the first day at Disney on the fantastic pictures in the gallery:
Simple Plan left from Antwerp in the night and got to Amsterdam a few hours later. The fans started lining up around Paradiso around mid-day and around 4pm some of them were let in for the soundcheck.
Since Paradiso used to be a church, the interior featured incredible stained glass on the windows and two sets of balconies on top of each other, which were underlit by gorgeous strings of light bulbs.
The sold-out show itself started later that evening, once again with The Overslept as the opening act. Simple Plan’s show started half an hour after The Overslept finished their set and the setlist was the same as in Antwerp:
Setlist: Amsterdam, Netherlands (26/08/2015)
1. Jet Lag
2. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
3. Jump / I Gotta Feeling
4. Welcome to My Life
5. The Rest of Us
6. Your Love Is a Lie
7. Astronaut
8. You Suck at Love
9. Boom
10. When I’m Gone
11. Shut Up
12. Crazy
13. Loser of the Year
14. I’d Do Anything
Encore:
15. Summer Paradise
16. I’m Just a Kid
17. Perfect
You can check out some of my pictures from the soundcheck and the show itself in the gallery (along with pics from DuchScene.nl):
INTERESTING SCOOPS FROM THE SHOW:
– Pierre’s family (wife Lachelle and daughters Lennon and Soren) were present at the show and watched the first part of it from the balcony
– during Summer Paradise, Pierre’s daughters helped kick the inflated beach balls into the crowd with the help of Pierre and his bandmates (see the gallery for pictures)
– it might have been the first time David and Pierre actually publicly shared a kiss on the lips live on stage
To me personally, this might have been the best Simple Plan show I have ever attended: the band was fantastic and so was the amazing crowd. And finally, you can check out some of the forementioned interesting scoops on the two videos below:

The official Facebook page of Guru Tattoo recently posted a couple pictures from the opening night of their new location of this tattoo studio in Little Italy in San Diego, CA. As you already know, Pierre Bouvier attended this event on December 7th with his wife Lachelle and you can now check out a couple more pictures of this couple from this night in the gallery:
Ever since the beginning, the members of Simple Plan have never been into sharing their private life on social media and always asked their fans to respect their privacy.
However, yesterday, Pierre decided to break the silence about his family and start opening up to the fans about this part of his life – at least via a few pictures and videos. In a series of tweets, the lead singer of Simple Plan explained why he’s never talked about his private life online and what made him change his mind, and also added the first photo of his own family – wife Lachelle and daughters Lennon and Soren – that he’s ever posted for the fans to see, and later also a video.
“I’ve always been a little reluctant to share my personal life online. I’m not sure why but I guess I felt I needed to protect my loved ones. But lately I’ve realized that I don’t really care if people know who my wife is, or what my kids look like. There’s no real threat. And if I don’t share that part of my life, then I’m not really sharing who I am. And that’s kinda boring…. So on that note… Get ready to enter my life. The real me. And get ready to be bombarded with cuteness cause my girls are cute as hell. These are my peeps. I love them. And I can’t live without them. <3”
