Summer Paradise to be Simple Plan’s new official single

At times like these, when most bands are releasing their Xmas songs, Simple Plan are announcing that their new single will be the song “Summer Paradise”. Well, why go with the tide, when you can go against it, right? :) Even though at first sight, the song entitled “Summer Paradise” may look inappropriate for the upcoming winter season, the contratry is the case: Summer Paradise is about wishing to be able to go to some place sunny and warm when you’re only surrounded by cold and snow. And most importantly, when there is someone waiting for you in the sunny place.

It’s no secret that the band has been thinking about making Summmer Paradise the new single for quite a while now, yet nobody has ever confirmed anything. The confirmation finally came from Chuck during last night, when he tweeted the following:

“Hey SP Australian fans! Oz is ahead of the curve once again! Summer Paradise is our brand new single and i hear it’s getting tons of airplay!”

It’s very probably that the new single will be accompanied by a music video in a short time and it’s may as well include the long-awaited shots from Simple Plan’s shows in Australia, which were recorded by the director of the videos Can’t Keep My Hands Off You and Astronaut: Mark Staubach.

New video material from Australia for Loser Of The Year

We’ve already known for a few months that when our boys were Down Under this fall, all the concerts in Australia were being filmed by the director Mark Staubach and a few fellow videographers and from all this some sort of an official unknown video was supposed to come out. It is possible that many songs from Simple Plan’s set were being filmed, and right now, here are some more out-takes from Australia: put together for the song Loser Of The Year.

And even though many online music websites are claiming it to be a new official Simple Plan music video, this is actually not the case. Chuck has just confirmed that via Twitter: “This is not the new single or an “official” video. In fact, not even sure where it came from. But whoever made this is amazingly talented and i want to thank them for putting the vid together.”

And speaking of Australia and possible singles, according to the latest news, Summer Paradise is doing very well on Australian radios and this song has not even been officially confirmed as the next single either. So whatever the next single really is, here is a new amazing video material from the concerts in Australia for the song Loser Of The Year (thanks to SPB.com):

As I have informed you a couple days ago, according to various fans who attended Simple Plan’s show in Brisbane, the band apparently recorded their new music video – most probably for Summer Paradise – live.

It will once again be a work of Mark Staubach, the director, who also filmed Simple Plan’s music videos for Can’t Keep My Hands Off You and for Astronaut. Apart from filming the australian shows, it is said he also filmed Simple Plan’s performance on Sunrise.

It is still unclear if the video will be a real music video, or just some sort of a documentary, as none of these information have been confirmed by the band yet. Anyway, during the rest of the Australian tour, it became quite clear that this video wasn’t recorded only in Brisbane, but on other Australian dates too: apparently a sign was placed in front of the venues saying that by entering the venue, the fans agree to be filmed.

As you know already, Simple Plan are currently preparing two music videos – for the song Can’t Keep My Hands Off You, and for the first single Astronaut. Thanks to the server Videostatic, we got some more information about the production of these two videos – both of them are under the production of the Rockhard films and the director – Mark Staubach.

Mark has started in the entertainment industry as an actor (Freeks And Geeks), but finally settled as a director – one of his most famous works has definitely been on the music video for Travie McCoy’s & Bruno Mars’ song Billionaire.

And regarding the Astronaut music video, which the guys are currently working on, here is a first look on Sebastien during the shooting of Astronaut – as you can see, the music video should be involving lots of green-screen technology.
