Simple Plan’s and New Found Glory’s change of social media profile pictures triggers rumors about possible tour / collab

In an unexpected turn of events, both Simple Plan and New Found Glory have changed their official profile picture on all of their social medias at the same time today to a cartoon featuring a victorious slice of pizza. The image can now be seen on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. While Simple Plan’s cartoon is placed on a black background, New Found Glory’s places on a white background. Pizza is of course a long-standing symbol for pop-punk in general. It is also fair to note that this change happened on February 9th, which is known to be the “National Pizza Day”.

This sudden change of profile photo of course immediately triggered rumours in both fandoms about possible collaboration or tour featuring both of these well-known pop-punk bands. Both Simple Plan and New Found Glory are set to release new albums this year so a collaboration of some sort wouldn’t be entirely impossible idea. Especially given that the members of the bands have already collaborated before – Jordan Pundik, New Found Glory’s lead singer, was featured on Simple Plan’s last album ‘Taking One For The Team’, where he sang on the song ‘Farewell’.

Since neither Simple Plan nor New Found Glory have posted any explanation to this change or why both these bands used the same cartoon, we are left wondering and can only wait for a proper explanation hopefully soon.

Jordan Pundik’s collaboration with Simple Plan confirmed

If you follow SimplePlan.cz, you have already known for a couple days that Simple Plan’s new album “Taking One For The Team” would be including at least three collaborations – Nelly (“I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed”), Juliet Simms and Jordan Pundik from New Found Glory. The two last named artists have not been officially confirmed by the band then – but now the band has come forward at the second officially confirmed collaboration (after Nelly) is Jordan Pundik.

According to the band, Jordan will be appearing on track no.4 called “Farewell”.

The band is still yet to officially confirm Juliet Simms’ collaboration and the name of the song she will be appearing on.

Collaborations on new Simple Plan album revealed: Juliet Simms & Jordan Pundik (New Found Glory)

An amazingly important information regarding the upcoming Simple Plan album “Taking One For The Team” has just been very discreetly dropped in a brand new French interview with Pierre and Sebastien. AlternativNews interviewed the two members of Simple Plan earlier this week when they were in Paris, France.

In the written article, the interviewer mentioned in passing (literally just in brackets) that Simple Plan’s new album will feature collaborations with artists such as Nelly, Juliet Simms and Jordan Pundik!

Fans of Simple Plan are already aware of the collaboration with Nelly, who is featured on the 1st single “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed”, however the remaining featurings have not been revealed until now. So let’s introduce these two artists, who I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about in the coming months!

Juliet Simms is an American singer/song-writer, mostly known for her earlier work as the lead singer in the American rock band Automatic Loveletter and as the runner-up in the 2nd season of The Voice. Pop-punk fans may recall her voice also from a very popular featuring – on All Time Low’s song “Remembering Sunday” (album: So Wrong, It’s Right – 2007).

Jordan Pundik is the lead singer of the band New Found Glory, which he also founded in 1997. It is known that Jordan has previously hung out with Chuck from Simple Plan at the APMAs party and subsequently also already appeared in Simple Plan’s music video for “Boom”.

It is currently unknown, which Simple Plan songs these artists will be appearing on, but at least we have some time to guess! Could Juliet perhaps lend her voice to another ballad? Will Jordan be featured on one of the rock tracks? We shall see on February 19th!

Chuck attends APMAs with members of All Time Low, Pierce The Veil, New Found Glory and more!

Yesterday Chuck headed to Cleveland, Ohio to attend the inagural Alternative Press Music Awards, which features performances of many contemporary alternative bands and also many members of the bands from the current music scene are there to attend this event.

Last night, Chuck already got together with a few people you might have heard about and together they took an “Oscar selfie”, which apart from Chuck also includes for example Jack Barakat and Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low, Vic Fuentes from Pierce The Veil, Jordan Pundik from New Found Glory, Kellin Quinn from Sleeping With Sirens, Kevin Skaff from A Day To Remember and more!

Check out the few pictures that all these band members took together last night:
