So Wasted to support Simple Plan in France

Big thanks to Justine for letting me know that it has already been announced that the opening band at Simple Plan’s shows in Francie – in Lyon (September 1st) and the sold-out show in Paris (September 3rd) – will be a Swiss pop-punk band called So Wasted.

The four-piece band has previously opened for We The Kings on their 2013 tour in Switzerland and is extremely excited to be opening for Simple Plan in France:

“At 15 we listened to their songs and imagined how cool it would be to be in a band. And now we have the incredible honor to share the stage with that exact band!”

Opening band for Amsterdam announced: The Overslept

In about a month, Simple Plan will be finally getting back to Europe and the opening band for one of their few headlining shows there (most of their summer European shows will be a part of a festival) has finally been revealed!

If you’re attending the show in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, you should give a listen to the Dutch pop-rock band The Overslept who are very excited to open for Simple Plan at the sold-out Paradiso venue on August 26th. You can find out more about them on their Facebook page.

Final State to open for Simple Plan at Festival de la Gibelotte

As announced a couple months ago, on Friday, July 5th, Simple Plan will be taking part of the festivities at the Festival de la Gibelotte in Sorel-Tracy, Canada.

It has now been confirmed that Simple Plan’s opening act will be Final State, a Canadian band formed in 2004. According to the festival’s schedule, Final State should get on stage at 8:30pm and play a 30-minute set. Simple Plan will start their show around 9:30pm and should play a full 90-minute set untill 11pm, which is not very usual for festival appereances. Therefore if you’re attending, you may have a look at the regular setlist rather than at the festival one.

Final State also recorded a special video message announcing their spot as a supporting band for Simple Plan at this particular show and you can check it out here:
