Simple Plan perform What’s New Scooby-Doo and more at first 3 shows at Disney World

There were some other funny characters to be found at the World Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida yesterday besides Mickey Mouse and his friends. Simple Plan started their two-day residence there yesterday with first three shows as a part of the Garden Rocks festival, which attracted hundreds of people.

During their three 30-minute sets, which took place at 5pm, 6:30pm and 8pm, Simple Plan introduced three different setlists, two of which you now have the chance to see for yourself on the following two videos, which capture the first and the third set of the day. Interestingly – the band started all these sets with their old intro “siren” music, which you may remember from MTV: Hard Rock Live (coincidentally, also filmed in Orlando, Florida).

Pierre even reminisced about the time his band played Disney World for the first time – in 2002 – which is where he first met his now-wife Lachelle (see the second video at mark 10:45 for the full story), who was there along with their two children. Besides Lachelle and Pierre’s children, the rest of the guys also took their wives and kids to see Disney World and for the kids to see their Dads play in the process as well. Check out the first and third full set Simple Plan played including their setlist below:

5:30pm setlist:

1. Shut Up!
2. I’d Do Anything
3. Jet Lag
4. Welcome To My Life
5. I’m Just A Kid
6. Perfect

8:00pm setlist:

1. Shut Up!
2. The Worst Day Ever
3. Addicted
4. Boom!
5. I’m Just A Kid
6. Perfect

And even though we do not currently have the second show in its entirety, we know that Simple Plan incorporated ‘What’s New Scooby-Doo’ into this particular setlist. Check out a video of them playing this old-school track below:

Simple Plan will be performing three sets at Walt Disney World again today, so until then, check out the atmosphere at the first day at Disney on the fantastic pictures in the gallery:

Simple Plan returned to Quebec City

For the second show of their TOFTT tour in Canada, Simple Plan headed to Quebec City, where they performed in the Centre Videotron arena. Thanks to Felicia and Emilie we already know that the setlist was the same as in London, ON two nights before, which means the band seems to be keeping ‘I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed’ on the setlist [even though the guys didn’t play the song almost at all in any of the other TOFTT shows]. This is probably because of how well the song has been doing on Canadian radio ever since its release. However, despite being in the francophone part of Canada for this show, they kept ‘Bed’ in English, even though ‘Jet Lag’ was performed in its French version.

Check out the full setlist below:

1. Opinion Overload
2. Jet Lag [French version]
3. Jump (‚I Gotta Feeling’ snippet)
4. I’d Do Anything
5. Boom
6. Welcome to My Life
7. Addicted
8. Your Love Is A Lie
9. Perfectly Perfect
10. I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed
11. Party medley – Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars cover) & Can’t Feel My Face (The Weeknd cover)
12. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
13. Summer Paradise
14. Farewell
15. Crazy
16. I’m Just a Kid

Encore:
17. Shut Up!
18. Perfect World
19. This Song Saved My Life (acoustic)
20. Perfect

Simple Plan kick off Canadian TOFTT tour in London, ON

Due to Pierre’s vocal issues, which forced the band to reschedule their Canadian tour from November to March, it took Simple Plan over a year since the release of their latest record Taking One For The Team, to actually do a proper tour with this album in Canada. But here they are!

After playing the first NPNHJB show in the U.S. on Friday, the guys headed back home to Canada, to London, ON in particular to start their Canadian tour. During this short TOFTT tour the band will visit 4 cities in total – London, Quebec City, Toronto and Montreal, before heading back to the U.S. to continue with the NPNHJB tour.

Last night the band took the stage in London, ON and performed the following setlist (update: Simple Plan apparently also added ‘I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed’ to the setlist even though it wasn’t featured on the printed setlist)

1. Opinion Overload

3. Jump (‚I Gotta Feeling’ snippet)
4. I’d Do Anything
5. Boom

Simple Plan perform first ever show in Paraguay: livestream, setlist & photos

The day after their show in Argentina, the guys from SP had a pretty late flight to Paraguay, where they were supposed to perform that day, which meant there was unfortunately no soundcheck for the local members of the SP Crew. Still, the band took the time at the airport to hang out with the fans, who came to welcome them to Paraguay, where Simple Plan have never been to before.

The show was once again a regular one (not acoustic, unlike the one in Argentina and the one to take place in Chile tonight) and the boys played the following setlist:

1. Opinion Overload
2. Jet Lag
3. Jump (‚I Gotta Feeling‘ snippet)
4. I’d Do Anything
5. Boom
6. Welcome to My Life
7. Addicted
8. Your Love Is A Lie
9. Perfectly Perfect
10. Party medley – Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars cover) & Can’t Feel My Face (The Weeknd cover)
11. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
12. Farewell
13. Summer Paradise
14. Crazy
15. I’m Just a Kid

Encore:
16. Shut Up!
17. Perfect World
18. This Song Saved My Life
19. Perfect

The promoter G5Pro actually streamed a part of the show live on Facebook and you can now rewatch that video, which is 40 minutes long, below:

SP perform Lucky One and more at a special acoustic concert in Argentina

It’s not a very common sight for us to see the auditorium at a Simple Plan concert to be filled with seats. But that’s what the fans in Argentina were in for yesterday, when Simple Plan performed at the Teatro Opera Allianz venue in Buenos Aires, which holds up to 2 500 people. Due to the nature of the venue, the concert was announced as a special acoustic one, and whether it was because of it’s “specialness” or just because of the excitement of the local fans, it was very soon sold-out.

But despite the seats behind them, the fans were up on their feet for the whole course of the concert, singing, jumping and dancing and even putting up “You’re perfectly perfect to us” signs during ‘Perfectly Perfect’. And the guys sure paid their fans back for this gratiousness by changing up their setlist quite a bit, making the concert even more special. The acoustic setting allowed them to perform some different songs, which meant that they replaced their traditional party medley with ‘Astronaut’ and to a great surprise the band also replaced ‘Farewell’ with ‘Lucky One’ (song from their 2013 EP). Check out a short video of their performed on this song below:
