News from Israel: Simple Plan’s single coming out in the US

As of this moment, some of the member of Simple Plan are already back home in Canada, some of them back in the States and they are all enjoying some well-deserved time-off. On Saturday the band played their last show (for about a month) – in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where they’ve gathered quite a few souvenirs (as you can see on the picture on the left).

A highlight of this concert was a moment right before Perfect, when Pierre asked the crowd to be silent for a while before he comes back and says something important. It took him two takes, but finally manage to announce that “Simple Plan’s single is coming out in the United States”.

Since Simple Plan are currently promoting their single Summer Paradise, I’m assuming this is the single they are talking about (and that it really arrives to the US only now). This could be a fairly good news for the US fans because if the band gets lots of radio play in the country, the chances of them coming back there are even better. And so far, with Get Your Heart On!, Simple Plan haven’t really spent much time in the US.

Help Simple Plan get nominated for MMVAs!

The time has come again and Simple Plan are yet again almost-nominated for Much Music Video Awards (MMVA)! They are actually pre-nominated for the wild card for the category UR FAVE VIDEO – which they have won (in various forms) before! Simple Plan are actually known to win a MMVA everytime they actually get nominated, so go and help Simple Plan get nominated for their music video “Summer Paradise” on the MMVA website!

Don’t forget that you can vote everyday and thanks to your votes Simple Plan may join the group of other nominees, which count Carly Rae Jepsen, Drake, Hedley and Marianas Trench!

Summer Paradise to be released both as a digital and CD single with bonus tracks

Starting today, the Simple Plan fans from Germany, Switzerland and Austria can buy the digital version of Summer Paradise on iTunes. This digital version includes 4 tracks: apart from the regular Sean Paul version of Summer Paradise, the single includes also a never-heard no rap version of Summer Paradise, then a “naked version” of the song Astronaut and finally an acoustic version of Loser Of The Year. According to Chuck, the “naked” version of Astronaut is simply an acoustic version also.

Lyrics to the French version of Summer Paradise

If you’ve been reading SimplePlan.cz yesterday, you are already aware, that the radio station NRJ released a French version of Simple Plan’s song Summer Paradise (featuring Sean Paul). The band itself has not yet oficially commented on this new version but most probably it’s just another way how to better promote the band’s latest single in Europe.

Simple Plan to release a French version of Summer Paradise!

Did you think that the only song in which you’d hear Simple Plan sing in French, would be Jet Lag? You were pretty wrong. The French radio station NRJ has aired a brand new version of Summer Paradise – after the English version with K’Naan and the English one with Sean Paul, Simple Plan are coming up with a French version with Sean Paul!

We can only guess that this was most probably the song that Pierre spoke about in a recent interview and also which we’ve seen being recorded thanks to a couple of pictures.
