Another still picture from the Summer Paradise music video

As I have already let you know via Facebook, the director of the Summer Paradise video, Randall “RT” Thorne, promised us yesterday another still shot from this music video (that we should see in just a week or two). RT kept his word and today he published on his Twitter page another sneak peak of the Summer Paradise clip, which this time around shows us Pierre jumping into the sea. Here it is:

Summer Paradise reaches double platinum status in Australia

Simple Plan’s single Summer Paradise is doing extremely well in Australia! Even after 22 weeks, it still keeps holding to its steady position in the australian TOP 50 singles charts and a few days ago, it has received a double platinum status by the Australian Recording Industry Association. That means the single has sold 140 000 copies in Australia. Congratulations!

Simple Plan will be releasing their second music video for Summer Paradise in the next couple of weeks – and while the first one was capturing the band’s stay in Australia (and the version with K’Naan, the second one (which is the Sean Paul version) was recorded two weeks ago in Barbados and the guys have received its first rough cut today.

First official still photo from the Summer Paradise music video

The director of the Summer Paradise music video, Randall “RT” Thorne, who spent a few days with Simple Plan and Sean Paul last week at Barbados recording it, asked the SP fans on Twitter today to let him know whether they want a sneak peak of the new music video – and if so, to reply to him – and when he gets 20 replies, he’d post the first official still photo from this music video. Thanks to the cooperation of the fans, we got what we wanted and now you can check out a sneak peak of what we can expect from this video:

Spanish fans surprised Simple Plan in Madrid

It looks like the trend that we’ve probably started here in the Czech Republic back in 2008 when we held the “Thank You” signs above our heads, is spreading throughout the whole world. Since then, Simple Plan were able to see “Astronaut” signs in Poland last year and a day after that (this time) heart-shaped “Thank You” signs in the Czech Republic again.

Yesterday, the fans in Spain also hopped on the bandwagon and surprised Simple Plan in their capital city, Madrid, this way also. After Simple Plan started playing This Song Saved My Life most of the people in the venue pulled out huge “Simple Plan saved my life” signs and made the members of the band very moved by what a large group of fans can manage to organise. On the right side of this post, you can check out a picture of it taken by Simple Plan’s drum tech Sean.

Also, in the gallery you can already view a first few pictures (mostly low quality though) from the show in Madrid and also a couple of brand new official photos from the set of the videoshoot for Summer Paradise, which Simple Plan published on their website today:

Pierre on the set of the Summer Paradise music video

Chuck has recently posted a new picture from the making of the Summer Paradise music video on his Instagram. This picture shows us a little bit more of what the music video might be about – so far we’ve seen pictures of the guys on a boat accompanied by ladies in a bikini and now we have a picture of Pierre playing an acoustic guitar on a beach in Barbados.
