Simple Plan showed what they got at San Francisco show #2

With some fans calling it “even better than the first show”, Simple Plan rocked The Fillmore venue in San Francisco, CA last night again after a day off in the city.

Simple Plan add new show in Arizona & another Seattle show after first just sold out

The tickets for the upcoming second leg of Simple Plan’s 15th anniversary No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour in the USA went up only a few weeks ago and the shows are already starting to sell out! In fact one of them just did – Seattle (on September 2nd) sold out its 2800 tickets the fastest of them all!

And because the band suspected this ahead, they already secured a second show in Seattle, so starting this Friday 10am local time, the local fans can score tickets for the the second show at The Neptune, which will take place on September 3rd.

Some more good news came in also for the Arizonian fans – Simple Plan just added a show in Flagstaff, AZ, on August 28th in The Orpheum Theatre, which promises to be a very intimate show for only 650 people. Tickets for this show also go up this Friday, at 10am.

Check out more info about these two new shows below or check out the whole schedule of the band’s upcoming tourdates in the Tour section.

Simple Plan signed Tony Sly’s tribute album for charity auction in San Francisco

You may recall that back in 2013 Simple Plan recorded their own cover version of Tony Sly’s song ‘Justified Black Eye’, for a special tribute album filled with covers of songs of the late No Use For A Name’s singer, who passed away in 2012. The tribute album, entitled “The Songs Of Tony Sly: A Tribute”, which has already managed to raise over $100 000 for Tony Sly’s daughters, features covers by many other bands including Anti-Flag, NOFX, Bad Religion etc.

In the backstage of last night’s Simple Plan show in San Francisco, the members of Simple Plan were asked by the representatives of Fat Wreck records to sign a copy of this tribute album, which will be signed by all the artists featured on it and later put up for auction.

Check out a picture of the band with their signed copy of the album:

It comes as no surprise that just like the previous three shows in California, last night’s show in San Francisco was also sold out, which is why SP added another show on Monday. Check out some of the first released pictures from last night’s concert in our gallery:

5SOS members and more spotted at Simple Plan show in LA

After Anaheim, Simple Plan headed to Los Angeles for another show of their current No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour, which, just like the previous one was completely sold-out.

As this was an LA show, there is no surprise that quite the number of familiar faces could have been spotted in the crowd, such as Frank Borin (SP’s long-time friend and music video director) or three members of the band 5 Seconds Of Summer (Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood) – all enjoying their friends’ show at The Wiltern.

Another person who was at the show was Fil Thorpe-Evans, the bassist for Neck Deep, who even tweeted out about his love for Simple Plan after the show:

Simple Plan performed their traditional 90-minutes-long set, which consisted of all of the songs from their 1st record and a mix of the best of’s from the other albums in the 7-songs-long encore.

Simple Plan’s NPNHJB show in Anaheim filmed for a new DVD!

The first of the final five shows of the first leg of SP’s NPNHJB tour in California took place last night in Anaheim, where Simple Plan re-introduced themselves at the local House Of Blues.

And despite keeping the same old NPNHJB setlist, the show turned out to be quite special. First of all, since the show was sold-out, the House Of Blues Anaheim venue decided to award the members of Simple Plan and their tour manager Danny Vance with special commemorative NPNHJB skateboard decks [see the image on the left].

And as if that was not special enough, Simple Plan also decided to have a film crew shoot it for their upcoming DVD. The band did not elaborate on what kind of DVD this might be – whether it is a 15th anniversary NPNHJB tour DVD or whether it has possibly anything to do with Chuck’s Resurgence movie project. But the fans were made aware that there is a “filming for a DVD” taking place, which you will be able to notice from the pictures from last night, too.
