After their two-night stay in Chicago, Simple Plan got back on the road and in the past two days they hit two more cities with some extraordinary concerts – Detroit, MI and Cleveland, OH. And what more – the day of the show in Cleveland Simple Plan managed to officially sell out the House of Blues in Cleveland (which fits about 3000 people) as well!
Have a look at the pictures from the concerts in Detroit and Cleveland in the gallery:
Due to an extraordinary demand of the No Pads, No Helmets.. Just Balls tour in the United States, which Simple Plan are currently on, the band has decided to expand it in the summer with 11 more tourdates!
In August and September, Simple Plan will head back on the NPNHJB tour with Set It Off and Patent Pending in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, Texas, Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington!
The band announced their return to the U.S. for the second leg of the No Pads tour on the following video:
Check out all the cities on the just released poster for the tour [all tourdates will be soon added to the Tour section]. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 10am local time:
Friday and Saturday night in Chicago completely belonged to Simple Plan, who utterly rocked both of the sold-out shows in the Windy City. The concerts took place at the House Of Blues Chicago and each night 1 800 people, including all the girlfriends and wives of the members of Simple Plan gathered to see the boys play.
And since it was April 1st on Saturday [as you may have noticed yesterday via the SP.cz post yesterday], the guys from Simple Plan could not just leave it be and had to pull a little prank on their second Chicago audience. Danny Vance, Simple Plan’s tour manager got up on the stage before the band was supposed to go on and announced that Simple Plan would not be performing and that all their tickets would be rescheduled for another show. Some fans believed him, some have seen right through the lie – but eventually SP did get on the stage as expected and played another magnificent show.
The band posted the following video of Danny’s April Fools’ prank on their Instagram Stories. Check it out here:

On March 29th, Simple Plan performed their very first show at Starland Ballroom in Sayrevile, NJ with all 2500 tickets to the concert sold out. And as we can tell from the reactions from both the band and the fans – it was a shame we all weren’t there to see it.
According to some fans, a huge wave of talented crowdsurfers showed off their skills during the show, which got topped only by Chuck’s final stage-dive during Grow Up. Check it out on the video below:
And you can also try to soak up the vibe of the Sayreville show [who’s full setlist was the same as usual] via the new pictures in the gallery:
It’s clear that we’re currently dealing with one of the most successful tours in the United States for Simple Plan in years. The band has just confirmed that the shows in Anaheim, CA and Lawrence, KS are now also officially sold-out!
At this point 11 shows of the U.S. leg of the NPNHJB tour were or are sold-out with even more shows changing venues in order to accommodate more fans [see all SP’s upcoming tourdates here].
