Simple Plan will be officially releasing their 4th single off Get Your Heart On!, the song “This Song Saved My Life” this coming Monday, January 14th. The first radio to play the song officially in Canada as a single will ve Virgin Radio Montreal and Chuck Comeau will be there on Monday to answer the hosts questions about the song.
“This Song Saved My Life” is the last song on Simple Plan’s latest record and according to the band, it’s the first song that has ever been written on Twitter. During the writing process, the band approached their fans on this social network to tweet them back how music has helped them change or even save their lives. After receiving thousands of replies, Chuck and Pierre (Simple Plan’s co-composers) put the fans’ answers together and form them into a song, that’s purpose is to make people aware of the importance of music.
The video for the song, directed by David F. Mewa, that will also include many submissions from international Simple Plan fans, is currently in development and should be released in the coming weeks.
