8 years.
Indeed. It’s been exactly 8 years today since this website, SimplePlan.cz opened its virtual doors to the fans of Simple Plan on August 13th 2007 (after two years of being “just” a blog), not knowing that one day it would become the longest running Simple Plan fansite in the world.
In the past year, SimplePlan.cz brought you over 330 news articles and countless new pictures, organized another Czech fans’ meet up, had some exclusive videos, and its online social media gained many new fans! Twitter followers went up to more than 6600, as well as of the Facebook fans, who now include more than 6100 of you. SimplePlan.cz also recently joined Instagram – with just over 260 of you following it :)
Last year was a blast, but since we expect Simple Plan to drop their next record very very SOON (*wink at Chuck*), you can expect a whole lot more news in the coming weeks and months! And if everything goes according to plan, I should have a new interview for you soon. My soon!
And finally, I would like to thank all of you again for your tremendous support over the last 8 years (or however long you’ve been following SimplePlan.cz). You have no idea what it means to me that even after all these years, you still all care about this site and like the content I try to dig from the Internet for you. Massive thanks also to all the contributors for news links, their own pictures, videos, translations and anyone else, who’s ever helped me over the years. It’s because of you why I can continue bringing the most up-to-date info from so many countries in the world. And last, but not least, to my boys (as I like to call them, and I will probably never stop no matter how old they are): Pierre, Chuck, David, Jeff and Seb – you helped me be who i am today. Thank you. And I cannot forget the ever-so-helpful Sim, the rest of the crew and also Coalition Music – you all rock, thanks!
Hopefully, I will see some of you at the shows in Antwerp and Amsterdam that I will be attending – and of course covering on SimplePlan.cz! Cause, you know, “if you’re looking for me, I’ll be at the show”.
