Simple Plan made a special appearance as guest DJs at Emo Nite LA

Given how many musicians have made Los Angeles their home, every single time Emo Nite, the popular alternative/emo music party, comes into town, there’s always a big chance one might just see some of their favorite artists behind the DJ booth. So last night, when Emo Nite took over the Echoplex club in LA again, the attendees of the party got to see some very special guests spinning the records – including the members of The Maine and Simple Plan.

From Simple Plan, Chuck repeated his DJ guest spot from earlier this year and this time around he brought his pal Jeff Stinco to help him out. Also, according to the fans who attended this particular Emo Nite, David Desrosiers was also there amongst the crowd, enjoying the music, and so were also other musicians including Demi Lovato or Halsey.

In the gallery, you can already check out one picture of Chuck and Jeff rocking out at Emo Nite LA last night and while we’re waiting for more images to be released, below you can check out a video featuring three Instagram Stories that were published on Simple Plan’s official profile to see what Chuck’s and Jeff’s guest DJ set looked like:

Simple Plan enter studio: first official updates & photos

As we’ve already heard from Jeff, yesterday was the day that Simple Plan finally officially hit the recording studio in Los Angeles, where they will spend the next couple of weeks working on their sixth studio album.

The band has now confirmed the beginning of their recording sessions on their official social media accounts and also updated the fans with some first pictures documenting Day 1 of recording. Simple Plan members gather in California: ready to enter the studio to record new album

The moment we’ve been waiting for for the past couple of month, perhaps even years, is finally here: Simple Plan finally have enough songs to enter the recording studio and start turning their demos into actual recordings.

After performing their set at Warped Tour in Mountain View, all members of Simple Plan (even those based on Canada’s east coast) remained in California, where they are expected to hit the recording studio any day now. Jeff Stinco confirmed this on his Instagram yesterday, when he posted a picture of himself and Sebastien, bringing some of his favorite guitars with him to California:

It’s time to work on a new record! You know what that means? I get to play with all my Toys in the Attic (see what I did there?)! I only brought the sweetest of the sweetest in terms of guitars for this recording session. Seb seems to think I went mad again ;-)

– Jeff Stinco –

As of right now, there has been no official announcement from the band regarding their return to the studio, nor an announcement regarding who’s going to be in charge of the production of their 6th studio album: whether they will hire a producer, work with multiple ones or even aim to produce it themselves. However we expect all of these questions to be answered quite soon.

Are you excited to hear what Simple Plan have come up with on record #6?

Simple Plan rock the final date of Warped Tour in Mountain View

After 25 years, the legendary alternative festival tour Warped Tour has closed its gates one last time this past weekend, after the final 2-day date in Mountain View, CA, where tens of acts from all across the music scene have gathered to say their goodbye to the Warped stages. Amongst the bands and artists that were there for the final date were besides Simple Plan also acts like The Offspring, We The Kings, Bad Religion, Good Charlotte, Less Than Jake, NOFX, Sum 41 or The All-American Rejects.

Once the 25th-anniversary Warped shows have been announced, it was clear that Simple Plan could not miss out on this opportunity to be part of these special shows, since they have become one of the most often added bands on the Warped bill over the past 25 years. Leaving Warped Tour behind has of course been very emotional and many of the band members had some words to say on their social media as they were saying their goodbyes to this one-of-a-kind experience:

Thanks Kevin Lyman and Vans Warped Tour for 25 years of rad. Warped gave our band a home and place to grow and has definitely played a huge part in our career. Yesterday in Mountain View was 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻.

Mountain View you were beautiful I mean look at ya! Thanks for such a great time and thanks to @vanswarpedtour for having us one last time. Warped tour will always have a special place in my heart ever since I was very young.

– David Desrosiers –

Amazing crowd for the final warped tour yesterday. Thanks for all the good times, thanks for all the music, and thanks for all the fans that came out [over] the years to support live music and their favourite bands. 🤟🏻

– Seb Lefebvre –

Warped Tour was insane! Thank you to Kevin Lyman for building such an amazing festival where very different people (from all around the world I might add) could get together to share their love for music. We grew up with Warped and we grew as band on that tour. I have so many memories.

– Jeff Stinco –
