‘Saturday’ by Simple Plan on CBS Entertainment promo

For a while now, Simple Plan’s song ‘Saturday’, has been used on CBS Entertaiment promo for their Saturday night program schedule (big thanks to Tum for letting us know).

You may recall that ‘Saturday’ was released in the summer of 2015 as the first teaser track from Simple Plan’s fifth album Taking One For The Team, but since the overall reaction wasn’t very favorable and the song didn’t eventually fit with the remaining songs on the record, the band decided not to include it on the final version of the TOFTT album. Seb joins Chuck and Jeff in Montreal for promo day #2

From Quebec City, Chuck and Jeff have now moved to Montreal, where after being joined by Sebastien, the trio started making its rounds around Montreal media for more interviews. The band is currently promoting their upcoming Canadian tour, which will kick off in less than a month in 4 Canadian cities.

Promo day for Chuck and Jeff in Quebec City

With the Canadian tour just around the corner, Chuck and Jeff had a little promo day today in Quebec City, talking to various media about this tour and also their upcoming No Pads, No Helmets.. Just Balls 15th anniversary tour.

The boys paid a visit to radio WKND 91.9 FM, did a little photoshoot for Le Soleil with photographer Erick Labbé and also got a tour of Centre Videotron, the arena, where SP will perform in less than a month.

It is still unclear whether Pierre is heading to Canada too, as he is still scheduled to appear on En Mode Salvail tomorrow.

New York (promo) minute

To promote their new record and mostly their new single “Singing In The Rain” a bit more in the U.S., before they headed back to Canada, where they’ll perform today, the members of Simple Plan visited New York City, where they had a full day of promo stuff scheduled up.

Firstly, the guys visited the MLB Central studios, where the boys even tried how good of an anchormen they could be and also played some baseball. Check out their performance of the censored “Singing In The Rain” on this channel below:

After that, Pierre, Jeff, Seb and David moved to the Billboard offices, where they held a short but sweet acoustic performance, which was streamed live on Billboard’s Facebook page. The guys played three songs: ‘I’d Do Anything’, ‘Welcome To My Life’ and ‘Singing In The Rain’. You can check out this full performance below:

And finally, the guys also headed to the FUSE studios, where as announced earlier, the band took part in a live webchat on FUSE’s Facebook page [recap of the webchat to follow up in the next article]. CURIOSITY: Simple Plan promo billboard in Mexico

In just a couple of weeks, Simple Plan will be heading out to Mexico, where they will perform at four dates – Merida, Monterrey, Mexico City and Guadalajara. And while here in Europe, we’re mostly used to Simple Plan shows being advertised only on regular outdoor posters, the Mexican promoters went all in and put up huge billboards announcing the band’s return to Mexico!
