VIDEO: Jeff talks about Simple Plan’s beginnings for Sennheiser feature

Since the band is practically turning 15 years old this year, one of their most loyal music equipment companies – Sennheiser – decided to run an interesting article in their Bluestage online magazine. This article includes a brief history of the band with brand new quotes from a recent interview with Jeff Stinco, who was also filmed for a very nicely done video in which he discusses the band’s beginnings and mostly the very interesting “Touchdown” story of how Simple Plan got signed in 2001 (you can read the full story on p.59-60 in Simple Plan: The Official Story)

Here’s a few quotes by Jeff included in the article and the video:

Jeff’s advice for new bands: “I would strongly advise new artists to spend less time in front of the mirror and more time writing songs. There’s a misconception that it’s all about the look but we are the prime example that it’s not about the look, it’s about the songs. Another mistake that new artists make is hoping that someone will take them under their wing and do everything for them.”

Jeff about finding the right sound: “Sound for me starts in my head. Then you try and make it come alive through instruments. In my case, it’s my guitar. As you grow as a musician you become better and hear more things.”
