The French version of Simple Plan’s new book “Simple Plan: The Official Story” is coming out today! The guys put a lot of effort into this piece of art that is documenting everything they’ve done as a band and before. A couple days ago they had many Canadian media come over to a hotel in Montreal and did tons of interviews with them. You can now check out 9 new pictures from this press day:
Another radio station that got to interview members of Simple Plan on June 21st, while the band was in Hamburg, Germany, was N-Joy, which hosted the concert in Kiel the day before. Here is a couple of pictures from Simple Plan at the N-JOY radio station:
At the 1st anniversary of their album Get Your Heart On!, Simple Plan stopped in Hamburg, where they spent the day giving interviews. One of them was conducted by the radio station ENERGY (NRJ), where the guys befriended not only the hosts, but also the station’s new inhabitants – mice. In the photos and the video below you can check out how the guys interacted with them:
Also, once again Simple Plan confirmed in this interview their intentions of returning to Europe this year right before Christmas:
The year 2012 sure is a big year for Simple Plan. Not only they are celebrating 10 years since the release of their debut album, but they keep bringing out more and more surprises for the fans’ listening and viewing pleasure. We already know that we can be expecting a new DVD and EP at the end of the year and a re-release of Get Your Heart On! in France, but it seems like that won’t be all that SP have in store for us.
According to FNAC, Simple Plan should be releasing a double album (a CD with 2 volumes) that should incorporate both their first album – “No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls” – and also their last (so far) – “Get Your Heart On!” (thanks Marine for the info).
The double album should be available from August 13th (on SP.cz’s birthday! :)) for 13 Euro.
So far there is no news whether the album will only be available in France or not.
The Australian version of the singing competition show The Voice has a very impressive variety of coaches, which include Seal, Delta Goodrem (who you may remember from one of the versions of the music video for “Save You”), Keith Urban and Joel Madden from Good Charlotte. Their job is to mentor the contestants who get into their teams throughout the whole journey of the show.
One of Seal’s protégés is 26-years-old Sam Ludeman, who performed a cover version of a Simple Plan song in the last night’s episode of the song. And what other song than “Summer Paradise” it could be, when this song has already become Australia’s summer anthem, and has managed to stay at the tops of local music charts for weeks.
After Chuck from Simple Plan had heard about one of their songs being played on The Voice, he contacted Sam himself via Twitter, congratulated him on his performance and invited him and the coaches from The Voice for their upcoming concert in Sydney, Australia.
