PHOTOS: Simple Plan heading to Chisasibi

After today’s earlier discovery that Simple Plan are playing a “secret” show in a city called Chisasibi, QC, in Canada that is located on the eastern shore of James Bay, the band members themselves have confirmed this news, while boarding a private jet that will be taking them to Chisasibi. Check out the two pictures the band members posted from their time at the airport:

Sebastien co-writing with Jillian Jensen

After today, Sebastien can add another name to his (already impressive) list of people he’s co-written songs with – and that name would be Jillian Jensen. You may remember Jillian as one of the contestants in the US version of the X Factor from 2012 (see her audition here) and also from her cover of Simple Plan’s “Perfect” from last year which even got the attention of the guys from the band.

Today, Jillian Jensen and Sebastien Lefebvre had a little co-writing session over Skype – which Seb documented via the following Instagram picture:

Jillian herself commented on this session, saying: “[I] had such an amazing time writing with this guy, he’s so incredibly talented and made it fun!”

Since this might be the last time he’ll be able to enjoy some snow this season, Jeff went for a little ski trip today and published a picture of himself in his ski gear on Twitter. Check it out:

Recap: Simple Plan at We Day

Canada’s capital city Ottawa experienced an incredible event yesterday – National We Day. We Day is a youth empowernment movement that gathers thousands of teenage volunteers and their teachers for events that gather annually in different cities across the US, Canada and UK, where these people can learn more about how they can get involved with helping to make the world a better place.

This year’s final We Day event, organised by Craig and Marc Kielburger (co-founders of the Free The Children foundation), took place in Ottawa and welcomed more than 16 000 students and teachers from all over Canada. The attendees had the chance to listen to encouraging speeches from such personalities as Martin Luther King III., Her Majesty Queer Noor of Jordan or Spencer West and musical performance by artists like Neverest, Kardinal Offishall and Simple Plan.

Before Simple Plan took to the stage, they walked the We Day red carpet and attended a press conference. There, Pierre spoke about his admiration of Free The Children’s work: “(Free the Children is) really trying to inspire kids to do things hands-on, to kind of get involved, instead of just standing back and talking about it or criticizing it.”

In the gallery you can check out more pictures from the backstage of We Day – for example the picture of Simple Plan with Craig Kielburger. Worth checking out are also some new additions in the red carpet/press conference album:

And finally here are the first pictures from Simple Plan’s performance at We Day (that you can watch here):
