Yesterday, Sebastien and Jeff from Simple Plan attended the taping of the cooking show “Ricardo”, presented by the cook Ricardo Larrivée on Radio-Canada. The three guys joined their forces to prepare meals such as miso soup and tempura. The episode featuring Jeff and Seb should air in March.

Pierre and Chuck from Simple Plan are currently in their usual song-writing place in California, where they are trying to come up with more ideas for the songs for the upcoming EP that should be released this year.
And even though it’s not a full-length album and it should only include a couple songs, the guys want to make sure it’s the best they can come up with, so they called up some of their old song-writing buddies to help them write some amazing songs. And while on Monday we found out that the guys were hanging out with the song-writers Nolan Sipe and Ryan Petersen, yesterday the guys tweeted that they are writing with some more top-notch producers/song-writers: Emanuel Kiriakou and Evan “Kidd” Bogart. Both of the song-writers have worked with Simple Plan before – most notably Emanuel Kiriakou co-wrote the songs “Summer Paradise” and “Gone Too Soon” on Simple Plan’s latest record. Apart from their work with Simple Plan, they’ve both been involved with artists such as Big Time Rush, Demi Lovato, Bowling For Soup, Adam Lambert, Beyoncé or most recently MKTO.

With the start of February, the members of Simple Plan could not miss the chance to attend some of the events that took place in their hometown. Yesterday, February 1st, Sebastien attended (for the 3rd year in a row) the annual benefit Triathlon that helped the Saint Justine Hospital raise more than $600 000. An while Seb was outside in the snow, Jeff was invited to be a part of the CBC Homerun Music Panel at the Indigo book store, where along with other personalities (e.g. Cœur de pirate) he spoke about the relationship between the Anglos and Francos in Montreal.

The director of the upcoming music video for “This Song Saved My Life”, David F. Mewa, released today a pair of little photo sneak peeks of what we will see in the video. Currently, the video is under color-correction and should be released very soon. According to David, he is currently waiting for the band and the label to approve of the video.
