Patrick interviewing Simple Plan on his last day at MusiquePlus

For most of the Simple Plan fans, Patrick Langlois will probably forever remain the so-called “6th member of Simple Plan”, as he’s been there from the very beginning. Although he’s never been in the band per se, he’s been there helping them be where they are today. And even though he stopped working for them back in 2009 when he got a very interesting job offer from MusiquePlus, he’s still kept a very close relationship with all the boys from the band – most notably with Sebastien, with whom he still airs their radio show Man Of The Hour.

After four years at MusiquePlus, where he worked as a video journalist, interviewing countless of famous musicians, today on Twitter Patrick announced this being his very last day at this Canadian TV station because on Monday he will be revealing his next project. And of course how else could he say goodbye to his job, other than to end it with the very same people who got him there in the first place – Simple Plan. On the left side you can check out a picture from today where you can see Patrick with Chuck and Pierre, on the set of Pat’s last interview for MusiquePlus (full version can be found in the gallery).

We all wish you all the best with your next project, Patrick!

Simple Plan at the International festival des Mongolfieres

Yesterday Simple Plan played their last show in August – in St-Jean sur le Richelieu, where the annual International festival des Mongolfieres, a festival of hot-air balloons, took place. And as Marie-Mai performed there that day too, it was expected that she would join Simple Plan again for their common duet – Jet Lag. Make sure to check out the gallery for tons of awesome pictures from the show and also from backstage:

Here is a little sneak peak of SP’s performance with Marie-Mai from the soundcheck:

Simple Plan’s performace of “This Song Saved My Life” with Estevan choirs

As it was announced earlier, on their recent show in Estevan, Canada, Simple Plan performed their song “This Song Saved My Life” along with twelve young people, who were chosen out of three choirs from Estevan: the Estevan A Capella singers, the Estevan Comprehensive School Choral Class, and Wired. All of them were very enthusiastic about this performance and you can spot some of them singing with Simple Plan in the gallery.

And if you want to just to get a little glimpse of how the choirs sounded along with the band, here is a video from the soundcheck:

Tennis player Jim Courier received signed guitar from Simple Plan at Rogers Cup

At the beginning of August, Montreal and Toronto hosted the annual Rogers Cup (also known as the Canadian Open), a professional tennis tournament held in Canada, which has been also attended on August 6th by the members of Simple Plan (all except for Pierre).

Of course the boys did not attend this event as players (although some of them might be able to qualify one day), but as special guests who were there during the introduction of Jim Courier (along with Martina Hingis) to the Roger Cup’s Hall of Fame, and presented this American tennis player (who happens to be a music enthusiast) a signed guitar.

In the gallery you can have a look at a couple of pictures from Simple Plan’s appearance at Rogers Cup in Montreal.

PHOTOS: Simple Plan keep rocking Canada

The boys played a couple more shows over this weekend in Canada and you can now check out some awesome pictures from them. First, there are 2 really nice photographs of Pierre from the Saskatoon Ex festival and also thanks to Steph, there is a huge amount of photos from the Simple Plan show in Moose Jaw, Canada from two days ago:
