Man Of The Hour is back tonight!

Make sure not to forget to tune in to Idobi Radio (via your iTunes or at idobi.com tonight at 8pm EST (for Europeans, that’s 1am GMT) to listen to the comeback of our favourite radio show Man Of The Hour, hosted by Sebastien Lefebvre and Patrick Langlois. Idobi.com released the following article to welcome back their old/new show:

Season 7 of idobi Radio‘s award winning show, Man Of The Hour, returns to internet radio December 1, 2010.

Tune in every Wednesday night at 8pm EST as Sébastien Lefebvre and Patrick Langlois inject some Canadian love into your eardrum.

You can also catch an encore presentation every Sunday at 3pm EST. The podcast will also be available on iTunes.

Why have they decided to come back? Something about vodka, gambling and undisclosed liaisons for very little money. Don’t ask. Patrick is very sensitive about the subject.

Pierre continues working on his newest tattoo

For few months, we have been all speculating whether the marks that have been showing from under Pierre’s pants on some pictures, have been his newest tattoo on his right leg or not. And it seems like Pierre won’t just stop getting new tattooes, as he has said on his Twitter yesterday that he is getting some more work done on the last piece of his bodyart, confirming the newest tattoo is indeed real.

So far, Pierre currently has four tattoes on his body (well… at least the four we know about): his whole left arm, a swan on the right side of his chest, SP logo on the back side of his right calf and now the newest on on his right thigh.

Simple Plan back at high school: last show of the year

Well, it’s not like they actually went back to high school – the guys just visited their former high school Beaubois College, where they met their old teachers of maths, English, French, religion, music and they also hung out the school’s principal! This event, where Simple Plan also performed an acoustic session, profited the Simple Plan Foundation as well as Beaubois College’s own foundation – and according to the show’s host Stéphane Leclair, the event raised over $20 000, so congratulations!

To check out what this benefit show looked like, below you can watch Anika’s video from the acoustic concert and also first pictures in the gallery:

You may remember all the official reports from the past few years saying that Simple Plan have sold 7 million albums. Well, thanks to the Simple Plan Foundation we now know that history should be rewritten as – Simple Plan have already managed to pass the border of eight million units sold worldwide! Congratulations!!!

Interesting quotes from the SPF benefit event

I really hope you are not getting bored of all these news from the Simple Plan Foundation benefit event yet, as at least in this post you are gonna learn some more. Thanks to Janie for sending us her article and photos from yesterday. I have picked the most interesting parts out of the article and translated them for you – so here are some quotes from the Simple Plan members from the press conference:

“The foundation was created to help young people. You probably know that there are many young people, who come to our shows and then meet us – we see them after the shows a lot, they talk and we read their letters. They talk about their problems, whether at home or with their addictions. Problems, that sometimes quite serious. We were asking ourselves when we started, how we should react, how we could do something for them. Just talking to them for 30 seconds after the show is not enough. So we thought that we had go beyond that and so the foundation has been a bit of an answer to these stories. We wanted to help organizations that operated on the ground and that made a difference in the lives of these young people with issues.” (Jeff Stinco)

“In recent years, there are also many of our relatives who have been affected, affected by certain diseases and obviously it brings us closer to all these causes. Sometimes, there are people who think we are invincible, but there are people who are invincible because of diseases like that, so we decided to make donations to the Canadian society of multiple sclerosis, the Lighthouse Child & Family. […] There is a lot of young people who have been stricken by cancer. I myself had the chance to meet a girl named Alison. We have all met her also on one of our concerts and I accompanied her to her death bed at her home in Trois-Rivieres, and I even performed a song with my acoustic guitar to help her with what she was going through. It opened my eyes to see a little 16 year old girl, who was losing her life. It touched me greatly. And that brings us, we are all affected by it, no matter what we do in life, regardless of the job.” (David Desrosiers)

Let’s get to a bit of more positive news now. Make sure to look into our gallery, where you can find awesome shots from Janie from the SPF benefit event and also from We Day from a couple days ago:
