Simple Plan celebrated New Year’s with a concert at Niagara Falls

To ring in the arrival of the new year, Simple Plan couldn’t have chosen a better way to spend the last minutes of 2017: at the beautifully haunting Niagara Falls, in their homeland Canada, surrounded by their friends and other Canadian acts (such as Marianas Trench) and performing for tens of thousands of people. The only thing that was a bit of a downer was the extreme cold, which reached almost up to -20°C. But even despite that, the boys bravely hit the stage last night to warm up the crowd with the last Simple Plan show of 2017.

If you’ve been following SimplePlan.cz, you were aware that you would able to watch the show live on YouTube. However, it turned out that CBC aired only one song from Simple Plan’s whole set – that being the first song, ‘I’d Do Anything’. In reality, Simple Plan performed a much longer set that also included songs like ‘Jump’, ‘Summer Paradise’, ‘I’m Just A Kid’, ‘Addicted’ or ‘Perfect’.

Check out the livestream’s recording of SP’s ‘I’d Do Anything’ live at Niagara Falls last night below. It starts around mark 42:53:

Some of the other songs were captured on Simple Plan’s Instagram Stories, which you can check out below alongside the final story, in which the members of the band got to celebrate the 2018 on stage at midnight besides everyone else:

And finally, if you also wanna look at some of the photographs documenting the last SP appearance in 2017, check out these two albums in our gallery! The first one will show you pictures from behind the scenes of last night’s events and in the second one you’ll find pictures directly from the Simple Plan show at Niagara Falls:

Simple Plan to repeat appearance at Walt Disney World in 2018!

It is no secret that this year’s series of Simple Plan shows at the Walt Disney World in Florida was a huge success – the fans, the visitors, the band – and also their families enjoyed the multiple-day events and exclusive sets [remind yourselves of our recap of these shows here]. For those reasons, the band decided to repeat their appearance at Epcot’s Garden Rocks series and will be performing at Walt Disney World again next year!

This time, Simple Plan will be around for 4 days in total, as they are scheduled to play at Walt Disney World from March 16th to March 19th. Just like this year, the band will be performing three 30-minute sets each day – at 5:30pm, 6:45pm and 8pm at America Gardens Theatre, located on the World Showcase side of the park.

Below, you can check out more details about these first announced shows in 2018:

New professional photos from Guadalajara

Mexican photographer Noé Blanco recently published a series of his professional photos from the photo pit of the Simple Plan show in Guadalajara, Mexico, that took place a little over a month ago, on November 8th.

You can now have a look at these beautiful pictures now in the SimplePlan.cz gallery:

Simple Plan to start working on 6th record after March 2018

In a new interview for idobi radio that was filmed on the Warped Rewind At Sea cruise with Chuck and Sebastien, the two members of Simple Plan discussed various topics from attending this special pop-punk cruise, Warped Tour in general, their No Pads anniversary tour all the way to their upcoming album.

We’ve known for a while that the plans for next year are supposed to include a bit of touring and then making of a new record – however no specific time frames have been mentioned yet, since the dates for Australia and South American tour have not been officially announced. In this interview for idobi however, Chuck revealed for the first time that all the touring should be done by March 2018, after which Simple Plan should immediately go back to writing and hopefully soon finish their 6th studio album.

Check out Chuck’s direct quotes and also the whole interview on the video below:

“As soon as we’re done – I think we’re gonna wrap things up around March and at that moment we’re gonna start making a new record. And then we’re gonna get back to touring and do a regular Simple Plan tour.”

“We haven’t said it officially but there’s two places that are really important to us, that we haven’t been to with this anniversary tour, so South America – and Brazil in particular. So we need to go there, we’re working on that. And Australia. So these are the last two places we need to go to. And after that we’re gonna make a new record.”
