Simple Plan add an additional Melbourne show after first one sells out

Just like in 2016, after the first show in Melbourne sold out so quickly, the band decided to act fast and secured an additional concert in Melbourne, which gives the local fans more chance to catch the band while they’re in their city.

The added show will preceed the sold-out Melbourne show and will take place on April 23rd, which was originally set out to be a day off. This will be a rare occassion when the band breaks their “no more than 3 shows in a row” rule. With this rule in place, there doesn’t seem to be much place for any other additional shows, so make sure to get tickets while they last!

Tickets and VIP tickets for the added Melbourne show go on sale this coming Monday, January 22nd at 10am local time.

Simple Plan show in Melbourne is SOLD OUT!

Simple Plan’s fans in Melbourne once again let the band know how popular they are in this Australian city. Just few hours after tickets for the band’s 15th anniversary No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour went on sale on Wednesday, the tickets for the Melbourne gig were all gone.

This is not the first time that has happened in Melbourne. You may recall 2016, when Simple Plan added two additional Melbourne shows of the TOFTT tour due to selling out the first one so quickly and all three shows became sold out in the end!

At this moment, there is no indication that Simple Plan would be adding an additional date in Melbourne, but keep checking back – you never know! UPDATE: Simple Plan just announced an additional Melbourne show! Get more details here!

Simple Plan set to return to New Zealand for the first time in 12 years!

Waiting surely pays off – at least to the fans in New Zealand! After their Australian tour announcement, Simple Plan made a grand announcement about their return to New Zealand, where they last performed back in 2005. This will also be a part of SP’s 15th anniversary No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour.

The band’s show in Auckland, New Zealand will take place before the official start of the Australian tour and will take place on April 19th at the Powerstation venue.

ANNOUNCED: Simple Plan to tour Australia in April!

The rumors were true and today, the official tourdates for one of the last legs of Simple Plan’s 15th anniversary NPNHJB tour have been announced. Simple Plan will be performing in Australia from April 21st till April 27th, as announced by Destroy All Lines.

This tour will bring Simple Plan to Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle and Sydney. It is currently unknown whether there will actually be a New Zealand date too, as hinted on in a recent post. UPDATE: A date for New Zealand has also been announced – check out more info about the Auckland show here.

As for the opening acts, the Aussies will be able to enjoy the warm up by Real Friends and Eat Your Heart Out.

Tickets go on sale next Wednesday, January 17th, 10am local time.

Simple Plan to release Australian and New Zealand No Pads dates very soon!

With the members of Simple Plan currently being on holiday or spending a well-deserved time off at home with their families, one could think that not much is happening in the world of Simple Plan. However, many plans are being made on Simple Plan’s behalf and we are getting first hints about some tour news being revealed in the very near future!

In their latest message on Instagram, Simple Plan teased their fans with a message saying:

“Got some exciting news coming very SOON! 🇦🇺🇳🇿 #npnhjbtour”

As you may notice from the little flags inserted into the Instagram post, Simple Plan aimed this message not only at their Australian fans, but also at their fans from New Zealand, where they haven’t performed in quite a while – since 2005! We’re sure local fans will be ecstatic over this news.

UPDATE: Rumor has it that this announcement might be tied to the upcoming tour announcement by the Australian promoters Destroy All Lines, who are promising an announcement tomorrow at 7am (Melbourne time) for a tour which should feature a pop punk headliner (Simple Plan?), an international pop punk support and another local pop punk support act. The announcement should come in just a few hours.

Besides Australia, we are also currently waiting for tour announcements for South America (also for a No Pads tour there), which should also take place also somewhere around March.
