5 Seconds Of Summer performed Simple Plan’s ‘Perfect’ in Montreal

As if it wasn’t enough that on Tuesday 5 Seconds Of Summer referenced Simple Plan during their set in Toronto, Canada, last night in Montreal the Australians took it to the next level and paid respects to one of their favorite childhood bands Simple Plan by playing their song ‘Perfect’ on stage in their hometown.

Listen to the full French version of ‘Signing In The Rain’!

After weeks of the French version of Singing In The Rain being available only to the residents of Canada through iTunes or Spotify, the song has finally found its way to YouTube, where you can now have a listen to it yourself and also check out the French lyrics below. As you’ll be able to notice, just like in Jet Lag or Summer Paradise, parts of the song have still been kept in English.

Which version of Singing In The Rain do you personally prefer – English with R. City, English without R. City or this French version?

Sing with me now:

Assis dans ma voiture, c’est la guerre, tout le monde klaxone (tout le monde klaxone, ooO).
Mon ex fait la crise, à tue-tête, au bout du téléphone (au bout du téléphone, ooO).
Au moins j’apperçois les nuages,
Mais je refuse de perdre courage.

So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).
So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).

No matter what life wants to throw my way,
I’ll be singing, I’ll be singing in the rain.
oO, ooO, ooO, o, oooo.

So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).
So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).

No matter what life wants to throw my way,
I’ll be singing, I’ll be singing in the rain.
oO, ooO, ooO, o, oooo..

Au moins j’apperçois les nuages,
Mais je refuse de perdre courage,
No, no, no, no, no, no, no!

So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).
So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).

No matter what life wants to throw my way,
I’ll be singing, I’ll be singing in the rain.
oO, ooO, ooO, o, oooo. (singing in the rain. I got a song in my heart and I’m bulletproof)
oO, ooO, ooO, o, oooo. (ooO yeah)

Singing In The Rain among TOP 10 added songs to Hot AC radios in the U.S.

Simple Plan’s latest single ‘Singing In The Rain’ is still climbing up the charts in the U.S.! Not only is SITR currently at no. 37 on the Hot AC chart, according to Mediabase, the song is also currently among the TOP 10 most added songs on Hot AC radio stations. Simple Plan share the 9th place with The Lumineers – both bands’ songs have been added to 6 radio stations this week.

This continuous success of Singing In The Rain on U.S. radio charts should be a good sign for the local fans. The band will be heading back to the U.S. this Sunday, starting a short run of radio acoustic sets around the east coast. Check out where you can catch them here.

[sidenote: Hot AC = “Hot Adult Contemporary” – American network of radio stations, playing mostly classic mainstream hits, as well as general pop music and or alternative rock music. These stations target primarily women between ages 25 and 49]

Story Untold (ex-Amasic) release song ‘History’, co-written by Pierre and Chuck

After the departure of Matt McCormack, the Canadian band Amasic, has decided to start anew – with new band members and also a new name – Story Untold. If you’ve been following Simple Plan for a while now, you have heard about Amasic many times in the past, as the band’s lead singer Janick Thibault had previously covered a number of Simple Plan songs, became friends with the band, opening for them on a number of occasions, which Janick followed up with song-writing with Pierre and Chuck and even replacing Pierre at the recent show in Canada, which Pierre was not able to attend, due to a health issue.

As SimplePlan.cz has discussed with Janick in our 2014 interview with the lead singer, Janick co-wrote two songs with Pierre and Chuck from Simple Plan‘If I Had One Dollar’ and also the song ‘History’, which has never been released before, during the Amasic era. Story Untold, who just announced singing with Hopless Records, have recently released a self-titled EP, which features both of the songs co-written by the members of Simple Plan. ‘History’ even became the band’s first single and an accompanying music video has already been released.

Check out ‘History’, which Chuck and Pierre helped to write, below:
