Through her Instagram Stories, some of you may have noticed that for the past couple of weeks, Lachelle Bouvier, the wife of Simple Plan’s lead singer Pierre, has been quite busy preparing a new podcast with the help of her husband. And finally, the podcast is all ready to go! Let us introduce you to ‘Rock Wife’ – a podcast by Lachelle Bouvier, which you will be able to listen to on Idobi radio (same station that hosts Seb’s & Pat’s podcast Man of The Hour) every Monday at 7pm EST. First episode should air starting next Monday, April 20th. But if you miss it, don’t fret – just like any other podcast, even this one should be later on available for download.
And what exactly will Lachelle’s podcast be about? Lachelle decided to use her experience as a wife of a rockstar and offer the public her own look at the nitty-gritty details of tour life. Besides her own stories, Lachelle will also be inviting other “rockstar wifes” to put their two cents in with their own experience. Check out the full description of the ‘Rock Wife’ podcast released already on the Idobi website:

She and her co-host “Sisterwife Sarah” discuss life on the bus, being on tour with families and what they fill their cups with backstage while their husbands are working. Last night, Lachelle revealed the podcast on her Instagram and even revealed a little teaser video, in which you can hear a few clips of what you might expect her to discuss in her podcast:

Over the years, if you managed to meet the members of Simple Plan, they would very often grant your requests for a personalized video for a friend who could not be there or perhaps a “happy birthday” message to your loved one. Over the internet, it’s been a bit trickier, as the band gets such requests all the time and pleasing all these fans would leave them with no time for their actual job. But one of the guys’ have just found a way!
With so much time on his hands now, Pierre Bouvier has now decided to join the leagues of Cameo – a popular online service for artists, who can record shoutouts or personalized messages to the fans who request them for a small fee.
Pierre announced his presence on Cameo recently on one of his livestreams and we’ve reached out to him to see how he’s liking this new platform:
“It’s been great! I was a bit skeptical at first but I’m really enjoying it. The reaction from fans who request videos has been super positive and it’s actually been good for me to do these. I brush up on songs that I haven’t played in a while and it’s helping to keep me sane during this whole crazy crisis.”
Last night, February 11th, the American rock band The Maine performed in Prague, Czech Republic for the very first time. And thanks to the always present Simple Plan fans at local rock shows, we have found out that during the gig at the Futurum Music Bar, the band actually performed a small cover of Simple Plan’s classic hit ‘I’m Just A Kid’.
Our reader Josef even managed to film a bit of this cover on his phone and you can now check out the footage he sent us below. Kudos to all the fans who sang along!
Just as we have guessed a few days ago after both Simple Plan and New Found Glory changed their social media profile pictures to the same illustration of a slice of pizza, the two pop-punk legends have just announced a co-headlining tour together!
Simple Plan and New Found Glory will be hitting the U.S. stages in May and June this year with their “Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead” tour and will be tagging Knuckle Puck along as an opening act! That means this is likely to be the first tour that Simple Plan might go on with their new studio album, which is set to be released either in spring or summer 2020.
The tour is also accompanied by a poster, featuring the previously posted illustration of a piece of pizza, which is victoriously levitating over a number of pop-punk loving skeletons. Check out the full version of this poster here.
