High-school choirs sing This Song Saved My Life during Simple Plan’s concert in Penticton

You love music, you’re a part of your school’s choir and your big dream is to one day be able to sing with your favourite musician – I am sure this must be a reality for many fans, who are lucky enough to have a bit of a musical talent. For some very lucky students from Penticton, Canada, the forementioned dream has come true last night. The students from the Penticton and Princess Margaret high-schools have merged to create one unique choir and got a chance to sing on Simple Plan’s concert in Penticton as the background choir in This Song Saved My Life. Originally, Simple Plan wanted the two shcools to compete for this opportunity, but the community center South Okagan Events Center persuaded them to have 10 students from each high-school in the final choir.

In the gallery you can already find a couple of photos from the soundcheck that the choir attended along with Simple Plan in Penticton yesterday.

And below you can check out a news report by CHBC News, which captures the students practicing for the big Simple Plan show in Penticton a few weeks before and also their reactions to the fact they will be actually singing with Simple Plan on stage:

Vlog from the rehearsal for Canadian tour

Yesterday, many rumours about Pierre and Jeff being involved in a car accident started to spread around on the internet – and apparently even Montreal Gazette informed about it. So I feel obliged to confirm that there was in fact no accident and that all the guys are all safe and sound in Canada, and that it was just one of the (recently very popular) death hoaxes.

As I’ve mentioned, the guys met in Penticton, Canada yesterday, where they are kicking off their Canadian tour today with All Time Low, Marianas Trench and These Kids Wear Crowns. And to celebrate the beginning of this awesome tour, they decided to record a little vlog from their rehearsal:

Marie-Mai performs Jet Lag on Star Academie – without Simple Plan

For many times in the past now, we’ve been able to see Simple Plan perform their first single from Get Your Heart On! – Jet Lag – on stage with many different female singers from all around the world, even though the singers of the original versions were Natasha Bedingfield (in English) and Marie-Mai (in French).

But this time around, the tables have turned. Marie-Mai’s career started in 2003 when she was in the singing competition called Star Academie, and a couple days ago she has returned there – only this time as a guest, performing a few of her biggest hits – including Jet Lag. But as the guys from Simple Plan are not all in Canada right now, she got some help with the male vocals from one of the contestants.

You can check out their performance below:

Final vlog from the tour across Asia

As a cherry on top of the Asian tour that the guys made happen in January 2012, Sim just released the final vlog from this tour, in which the guys from Simple Plan talk about what the tour was like and you can also expect lots of awesome recordings from various concerts in Asia:

Simple Plan covers Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger” in Japan

As you know, Simple Plan have been rocking many covers of famous songs for years now. They have done practically everything from Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” all the way to Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl”.

Lately, the band has been performing a medley of 3 covers for Cee Lo Green’s “Fuck You”, Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” and Pink’s “Raise Your Glass”.

But it seems like the boys want to change things up a little bit again – on one of their recent concerts in Tokyo, Japan, Simple Plan performed the hit song “Moves Like Jagger” originally by Maroon 5 on stage.
