Simple Plan brought the most distracting look to MMVAs

Forget about the so-called extravagance of Lady Gaga or Katy Perry: yesterday’s red carpet on the MuchMusic Video Awards was all about Simple Plan, who, despite not having appeared in a giant egg, still managed to draw the most attention.

When the pink limo appeared with five 30-year-olds jumping out of it, dressed in tiny white outfits (each with a different one), some sporting headbands, sweat wristbands and fanny packs, the audience, journalists, hosts and even the passing-by celebrities were mesmerised. Simple Plan attracted everyone with their fierce look a la Plan!, which rocks their official website these days, as well as the cover of their upcoming album that is being released tomorrow.

Canada.com reviewed Simple Plan’s new look as “the most distracting” of all the outfits on this year’s MMVAs:

Simple Plan showed up in a pink limo, but that wasn’t the shocking part. That came moments later, when the members of the band stepped onto the red carpet in teeny tiny white shorts and belly shirts. Of their Richard Simmons-inspired outfits, lead singer Pierre Bouvier told VJ Sarah Taylor, “We’re trying to stay ahead of the curve; this look next year is going to be massive!”

And even though Can’t Keep My Hands Off You didn’t win in its nominated category, Simple Plan pleased the audience with their performance of Jet Lag with a special guest – singer Fefe Dobson. You can check out their concert in the video below:

You can already find a whole bunch of pictures from the MMVAs in the gallery! Make sure to check out the pics from Saturday’s rehearsal, last night’s red carpet, press room (where Simple Plan switched their fabulous costumes for a more decent look) and finally from the performance with Fefe Dobson. The gallery will definitely be updated with more pictures from MMVAs during the whole day, so keep checking back!

So, are you joining the new Plan! fashion style this summer? ;)

Track by track: Summer Paradise

Another song that Simple Plan talk about in another video from the Track By Track series is the song Summer Paradise, on which they collaborated with the rapper K’Naan. Below you can check out what the song is about, what kind of feeling it has and during which occasions it’s best to listen to it:

VLOG: Summary of the European tour

In their latest vlog, Simple Plan summed up their experience from the European promo tour, that happened in June, where they managed to visit five countries (some of them even a few times), play a hell lot of huge festivals, as well as intimate concerts, promote the album in radio stations, give countless interviews and also meet fans from the whole Europe. Check out the video below:

YouTube minute: Tourbus tour

While some of you can enjoy the live streaming of Get Your Heart On!, as the album is alredy available for those who pre-ordered it (as well as for everybody in the UK – where the free online stream works), if you’re not that lucky, I hope I can cheer you up at least with this little vid, that just made its way onto the internet

During the European promo tour, the guys had to cut their expenses a bit, so they rented a cool black tourbus, which (along with the crew) they rode everywhere from Germany to Poland and back. Now in this video below, you can check out what it looks like to be in a tourbus like this and also what is and isn’t allowed inside:

Track by track: This Song Saved My Life

It is certain that This Song Saved My Life is the most anticipated song from the whole new Simple Plan’s album Get Your Heart On! A song that includes stories and feeling of real fans, a song that fans lent their own voices to, a song that is about them – about us. And what more it’s the first song that has ever been written through communication via Twitter. TSSML is the subject of the next Simple Plan’s “Track by track” video, which also includes its first official sneak peak.

And if you haven’t teared up yet, I give you one more chance. The band has also released the official lyrics to the whole song in the form of the booklet artwork:
