Special videomessage for SimplePlan.cz from Pierre and Sebastien!

Thanks to Amanda I had the opportunity to ask Simple Plan a few questions, from which the guys chose one to answer while they were in New York. Along with the answer, the guys also added a short message for SimplePlan.cz and its visitors :)

I’d like to thank the members of Simple Plan very much for taking the time to make the video and also a huge thanks goes to Amanda for making the whole thing possible. I hope you enjoy the video:

VLOG: Day 1 on Warped Tour

Pierre finally posted online the band’s first vlog from Warped Tour in the USA, where Simple Plan are right now. In the vlog you can check out how the signing sessions (that Simple Plan host before their showtime in their merch booth) look like and also check out what Pierre and David got themselves:

Simple Plan back on Warped Tour!

The famous Vans’ Warped Tour, an American festival-kind-of-tour which brings about one hundred punk-rock, pop-rock, punk, rock and other bands on stages across the whole US every summer, has after many years welcomed back the Canadian band Simple Plan, who are definitely no newbies on this tour.

Back when Reset was around (Pierre’s and Chuck’s (and later David’s) first band) the guys were invited to play on Warped Tour and kept performing there even with their next band: Simple Plan. They haven’t missed a single tour from 1999 to 2005. After that they went on a little break surring summers: wrote music or played festivals/tours on other places in the world. But this year they are back on the American ground ready to rock Vans’ Warped Tour 2011 and keep rocking it almost till the end of July.

Simple Plan started off the tour with their kick-ass show in Dallas, Texas, where they performed the following setlist:

1. Shut Up!
2. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
3. I Gotta Feeling (Black Eyed Peas cover)
4. Jump
5. Thank You
6. Welcome To My Life
7. Loser Of The Year
8. Addicted
9. I’d Do Anything

It’s pretty clear why Simple Plan haven’t added any songs from their third album on the setlist and focused more on the songs from the first and the second album, plus adding some from Get Your Heart On! The reason is that Simple Plan’s self-titled record didn’t reach (by far) the success the previous records have and the promotion of this album in the States was very minimal. But now, with a new record on the horizon, the guys are trying to avoid making the same mistakes as last time and pay more attention to their US fans.

You can already check out the first pictures from the show in Dallas in the gallery:

And below you can check out a pretty cool video of Simple Plan’s performance of one of their new songs from Get Your Heart On! – Loser Of The Year, which they introduced to Dallas yesterday:

First sneak peaks of Simple Plan on Mark Hoppus’ show

On the day of their new album’s official release date (June 21st 2011) the guys from Simple Plan were very busy doing lots of promo work, playing their own show and also doing lots of interviews. One of the probably most interesting ones was done during their visit to the Marka Hoppus’ (Blink 182) show “Hoppus On Music”. Mark talked with the guys about their new album, asked why they have used Twitter to write This Song Saved My Life (and why not Chatroulette) and also discussed their fancy costumes on the album cover.

You can already check out the pictures from the recording of this show in the gallery and below you’ll find two first sneak peaks from Hoppus On Music, which invite the viewers for the whole show, which airs later today on FUSE TV.
