Simple Plan apologize again: this time in a vlog

Not that it was really necessary to apologize again, but Simple Plan wanted to prove again how sorry they are for cancelling shows in Asia and Europe, so they decided to record a special video blog, in which they once again repeat all their apologies, with silent Pierre of course :)

Track By Track: Gone Too Soon

One of the most mysterious songs from Get Your Heart On! is definitely Gone Too Soon. It’s the only song that the guys have never really talked about before the release of their new album and didn’t even perform it live on the special concert before the album’s release, where they played all the other songs from the CD.

After finding out what the lyrics are about, it was obvious the song deals with a loss of a loved one, that came too soon. In the new video from the Track By Track series, you can check out Chuck and Pierre talking about what has inspired them to write this song:

First videos from Canada Sings

On August 3rd, the Canadian TV station Global TV started airing its new original singing competition called Canada Sings, in which glee clubs created on various workplaces (e.g. Toronto ZOO) are competing against each other and after each performance their skills are judged by Jane Arden, Vanilla Ice and Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan.

On the right side you can check out one new picture of Pierre from the promotional photoshoot for Canada Sings and below you can already find the first videos from the programme that Pierre with his colleagues pre-recorded a few months ago.

The video below includes a short interview with Pierre and his thoughts on the whole concept of Canada Sings and an invitation for Global TV’s viewers:

The next video is from Canada Sings itself: the host introduces the judges and also interviews each one a bit:

And finally you can judge Pierre’s judging skills by yourself in the following video that includes one of the glee club’s performance and the judge’s comments (Pierre’s part starts at 5:30):

Official video accompanying the charitable song “Fix You” to help Japan

As I have already informed you few moths ago, during their stay in Singapore, Pierre and Sebastien from Simple Plan took part in a charitable project during the Music Matters conference, in which they (along with 47 other artists from 18 different countries) recorded a new version of the song “Fix You” (originally by Coldplay).

The song is now available for purchase – all the proceeds will go to the japanese Red Cross and its effort to help Japan that’s been destroyed by a huge earthquake earlier this year.

The video that accompanies the song also includes Pierre and Sebastien during their recording process. You can finally check it out below:

YouTube minute: Pierre Bouvier

In the last few months, tons of new Simple Plan interviews have been popping up… however none of them revealed any sort of new information and most of the so-called “journalists” based their precious minutes with the band on a wikipedia research.

So I skipped all those boring interviews and decided to dedicate today’s YouTube minute to only one member of Simple Plan, around who all the fun usually takes place. Make yourselves comfortable and prepare for the next couple of minutes spend in the company of mr. Bouvier… at least through your computer screen. In the first video Pierre talks about his 10 favourite things: including for example why Batman is his favourite superhero or which new band of Warped Tour is worth checking out:

As you already know, a few months ago the lead singer of Simple Plan has been a part of the recording of a new Canadian singing competition called “Canada Sings”, in which he took the part of one of the three judges. In the next promo video for the show that will start airing in August, you will find out from Pierre and the other two judges (Jane Arden and Vanilla Ice) as well, why Pierre is the nicest of the judges and sometimes a bit too soft.
