As of right now, Simple Plan are 5 shows in the second part of the U.S. No Pads tour and besides the cancelation of two Texas dates, the tour is going quite amazing: out of the 5 shows SP already played, 4 of them were sold out and 5 out of 5 were amazing.
The guys did a little recap video of the good times they’ve had on the tour so far and you can check it out below:
Last December, Pierre, Jeff, Seb and Chuck headed off to South America and during their stay in Brazil, they were accompanied by Herby Moreau, a Canadian host, who documented this tour for his documentary series Vie de tournée. The documentary, which aired a few days ago on channel Vie, is about 45 minutes long and consists of footage not only from the tour itself, but also of extended in-depth interviews with all the members of Simple Plan, including David – some of them filmed in their own homes.
As of right now, we only have a cam version of the documentary, which is also available in French only.
If you would be willing to watch the whole documentary and put together a recap of some of the interesting things said in it, please let us know!
Simple Plan are already long away from the reach of hurricane Harvey [read more about the postponed Texas shows] and are currently on their way to the next stop on this tour: Flagstaff, AZ, where they are to play on Monday.
Being locked in a bus for a significant amount of hours can be really hard – no wonder the guys nicknamed it “prison bus” now. So to give you a little feel of what it’s like, Sebastien decided to film another video from his Instagram documentary series, which takes you right into the Simple Plan tourbus and all the activities the guys can do there to kill time. Check it out below:
This weekend, Simple Plan hit another two U.S. cities with their 15th anniversary No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour, which celebrates their debut album from 2002. On Saturday, Simple Plan performed in Cincinnati, OH and Sunday was reserved for Indianapolis, IN. Check out the atmosphere at both of these SP shows on the first pictures in our gallery:
As always, Pierre & Chuck continue with their drummer/singer switcheroo skit on this tour, when during Grow Up, Pierre goes behind the drums and Chuck “sings” instead (but rather jumps into the crowd and crowdsurfs for a bit). Usually, Pierre’s doing quite a great job at drumming, however last night in Indianapolis, he did mess up a little bit. And this funny video came out of it. Check it out below:
The band put together some footage from this year’s summer European tour, during which they have visited a number of local festivals as well as played a series of headlining shows. Check it out now on the video below:
