VLOG: Chuck and Pierre leaving China

While the rest of the band has already left yesterday as they are heading back home to Canada before the tour starts next week, Chuck and Pierre had to wait till today for their flight home to California, where they will soon be reunited with their families.

At the airport, the band’s song-writing duo decided to film a little message for their fans. Check it out:

Simple Plan perform an English/Chinese version of ‘The Heroes’ feat. Xu Weizhou

Yesterday, Simple Plan flew from Shenzhen to Beijing, China last night for their final stop of their short Snowtime promo trip.

As we’ve reported earlier this week, they performed the song ‘The Heroes’, which appears on the movie’s sountrack, in collaboration with the Chinese singer Xu Weizhou, who sings on the Chinese version of the song in the movie.

Check out this interesting half English and half Chinese performance of ‘The Heroes’ below:

Besides the performance, the guys from Simple Plan also gave a couple of interviews both on and off stage at the movie’s press conference. At one of these, Simple Plan presented Xu Weizhou a special gift: a guitar made entirely of ice. On the other hand, Xu Weizhou gave SP a snowman made of ice. Check out the video below:

ET Canada visits Simple Plan’s rehearsals

During the past few days, which the members of Simple Plan spent in their rehearsal space in Montreal, the band had a couple of visitors from the media to document their practice and also interview them about their upcoming NPNHJB anniversary tour.

Natasha Gargiulo from ET Canada was there too and not only she interviewed the band about their fun memories of past music videos and other stuff from the No Pads times, but she also got some exclusive drum lessons from Chuck himself. You can check out a photo of her with the band in the gallery and also watch the full clip below:

Besides this video, ET Canada also released one in which all the members of Simple Plan unite in the answer to the question “Who’s the biggest go-getter in the band?”. Try guessing who it is… it’s rather simple – but here’s the answer.

Jeff: “We are one of the biggest rock bands in the Czech Republic because of SimplePlan.cz”

This early morning, Jeff and Pierre visited the Salut Bonjour TV studios together to give an interview in this morning talk show. And thanks to Emilie we found out that Jeff has actually mentioned SimplePlan.cz in his speech about the Simple Plan fans – and had the nicest things to say about it.

Check out a translation of what’s been said or watch the video below [the SimplePlan.cz bit starts at around 4:45]. Thank you, boys! So much.

Jeff: The fans around the world gather and talk about the band. For example, the popularity of the band in Czech Republic is based only on one site which feeds the fans. She cultivates the promotion of the band, the girl’s called Dominika, she has begun it all over there. We are one of the biggest rock bands in the Czech Republic because of her.
Host: Have you ever met her?
Jeff: We meet her often.
Pierre: We know her.
Jeff: She’s like the president of our European fanclub.
