When Simple Plan’s South American No Pads tour was announced a few months ago, the fans from Argentina and Brazil cheered, but the fans of the remaining Latin countries were left disappointed, as there were no shows planned for their countries.
A recent comment made by a Colombian fan on Simple Plan’s account on Instagram regarding the band’s South American tour being organized in only two countries made Chuck Comeau react and respond to this issue in order to explain why Simple Plan were not able to tour more countries on this tour.

Let me address this: First, we played in Colombia before and we absolutely loved it. We tried really hard to come back but for many reasons, it couldn’t work out this time. There’s no one more disappointed than us about this. We love playing everywhere, especially in South America. We did 2 very extensive tours in the region and they were among the best shows we ever did. It breaks my heart to not be able to bring this tour to your country and it was a very tough decision. But what really bums me out is that you could think that we don’t care or didn’t make a lot of efforts to make it happen. I spent weeks discussing how it could work with our agent and our manager and sadly, we just couldn’t make it work with the schedule this time. I’m sorry and I promise you we will keep trying our best to always come play for all our fans all over the world.
