‘I’m Just A Kid’ should be Warped Tour’s anthem according to Travis Clark (We The Kings)

With Warped Tour saying goodbye and farewell with today’s very last show, Alternative Press asked a number of artists, who appeared on the tour, which song best describes the atmosphere of Warped and could be considered its “national anthem”.

Many band members put their two cents in on this topic in the video, leaving quite a number of songs as the best contenders for a possible Warped anthem. Sebastien Lefebvre from Simple Plan for example named Pennywise’s ‘Bro Hymn’ as the most appropriate song for a Warped anthem [Seb appears around mark 10:25 in the video].

But our favorite tip for the anthem of Warped definitely came from Travis Clark, the lead singer of We The Kings, who had some very nice things to say about Simple Plan, who’s song ‘I’m Just A Kid’ he’d personally like to see up for this title. Check out the full video at the end of this article, but first, have a look at what Travis said about SP below:

‘If I had to pick one song of We The Kings that I thought was a Warped Tour anthem, it would be a song called ‘Check Yes Juliet’, which is our very first song, you know, that we ever kinda put out and promoted. But a song for the whole tour… I think Simple Plan’s ‘I’m Just A Kid’, which I think was written like 16 years ago for them, or 17 years ago. And it just totally encompasses Warped Tour at its core, where we’re all just kids that love music. And I hear them play it, and people just lost their minds. It’s a really cool thing to be a part of something with, you know, people that I love. I love Simple Plan to death – they are our brothers. And it’s definitely a Warped Tour anthem. Everytime I hear it, I get kinda giddy inside.’
