In a recent interview for Bring The Noise UK, the lead singer of the American band Bowling For Soup, Jaret Reddick answered many questions regarding their upcoming tour in the UK and also about the music industry.
At one point of the interview, Jaret was asked by the interviewer what he thought of the current pop punk scene, which is when Jaret mentioned a number of bands, who are rocking the scene right now, including All Time Low or 5 Seconds Of Summer. And while here Jaret was all up to speed, in the second part of his answer, he noted he has no idea where his old friends Simple Plan are at the moment:
I think it’s just a cool time right now and I love the fact that New Found Glory are back out on the road, Yellowcard are back out on the road, Bowling For Soup are back out on the road, Blink 182 will eventually get their sh*t together and Green Day are still the biggest band in the world. Sum 41 is doing new stuff and with them you don’t know what you’re gonna get. They could put out a metal record that’s like the angriest thing in the world. But we’re all still out there, we’re all still doing sh*t and it’s super cool. The only ones missing are Simple Plan, where the f*ck are those guys?! Get them on the phone, let’s get them doing something!
It’s important to note that Bowling For Soup have known Simple Plan for many years now and the bands have toured together in the past, had some common projects and BFS even referenced SP in the song “From The Rooftops” on their latest album.
Boys, you better call Jaret up and let him know what you’re up to… and that you have never really been “missing”.
