Bowling For Soup reference Simple Plan in a new song

Bowling For Soup, an American band that has been linked to Simple Plan many times in the past (opening for them on the StarJam tour in 2005 and 2006 in the US, Jaret Reddick’s connection to Man Of The Hour etc.), is releasing a new album on September 30th called Lunch. Drunk. Love. which is a follow-up to their last studio record from 2011 (Fishin’ for Woos).

This band is mostly known in the music industry for having funny lyrics with lots of cultural references, and as always, there’s a lot of that to find on the new album (which you can already stream in its entirety on the Kerrang website). And if you listen carefully to their lyrics of “From The Rooftops”, you may even spot a little reference to Simple Plan in the second verse, where Jaret sings: “I rock all black and she can’t stand, that I’m dressed like the dudes in Simple Plan.”
