Sebastien on Busking For Change

As you already know, Sebastien from Simple Plan was yesterday a part of the so-called Busking For Change event – during which canadian musicians were busking for change in the subway stations in Montreal, raising money for the War Child organisation.

Apart from Sebastien, also other canadian musicians attended this event – for example the bands October Sky or The New Cities or the signer Jason Bajada. Just like on his mini-tour, Sebastien had a little help of Frenchie with supporting musical instruments.

The money that was raising by this event (and which can still be donated online) will go to the War Child organisation, which helps children affected by war – by the way every year it’s about 200,000 children their and families.

Out of all the musicians that played in the Montreal’s subway stations yesterday, Sebastien managed to attract the most people.

Sebastien said: “It’s for the kids, you know. Two thirds of war casualties are children and when you see that statistic, you don’t have a choice, you have to be generous, you have to make a donation, and you have to get involved somehow and that’s why I’m here, I guess,”

Patrick’s Objectif Coulisses already made a video about Busking For Change, where you can check out how the event looked like and what the musicians said about it. Even thought the video is in French, it’s definitely worth watching!

And finally here is one video right from Sebastien’s performance on Busking For Change with his song Life Goes On:
