Simple Plan music videos selected for the Art of Music Video exhibition in Toronto

Next weekend in Canada will be all about music and music videos as the Much Music Video Awards are being presented in Toronto on June 16th. But the celebration of music video as an art form will not stop there. The NE Creative Group, a young collective of film-makers from Canada, will be hosting their 5th annual gallery exhibition entitled “Art of Music Video”, displaying blown up still images from music videos and raw footage video installations from The NE Inc directors’ top music videos of the past year, to emphasize the artistry that goes into creating rock, hip-hop, and pop music art. According to the press release: “The exhibit is intended to blur the lines between photography and filmography while freezing moments from music videos, focusing the audience’s attention to the carefully constructed details that go into video production.”

Among the music videos selected to be shown at the Art of Music Video exhibition are also Randall RT! Thorne’s music video for Simple Plan’s song “Summer Paradise” and David F. Mewa’s video for “This Song Saved My Life”, also by Simple Plan.

The exhibition will take place in Toronto, Canada on June 15th and will be open to public from 3pm. A livestream of this event provided by BestFan.com should also be available via their Ustream channel.
