Simple Plan ready to perform an emotional show at Bataclan tonight

A place of unimaginable pain, fear and suffering – that’s what the Bataclan venue was on the night of November 13th 2015, when terrorists attacked the Eagles of Death Metal show in Paris, France, leaving 90 people dead. Since then, the venue has been renovated and a year after the tragic incident, it has been reopened to artists from all over the world to continue spreading music and joy and to honor those, who lost their lives in this building.

Simple Plan were in fact supposed to perform in Paris (not at Bataclan however) just two days after the attack, but in wake of the tragic events had to postpone their show until the next year. Tonight, Simple Plan will be paying their respects to the victims of the Paris attacks with what seems will be a very emotional sold-out show – right at the Bataclan venue.

Read what Jeff and the band have posted regarding this upcoming show:

“Au Bataclan ce soir. The show is sold out. It was very important for us to play this room again after what happened here. Thank you for joining us.”

– Jeff Stinco –

“Tonight we are performing at The Bataclan in Paris. The show is completely sold out and we would like to thank all our French fans for their incredible support for over 17 years now. This evening will be a very special and emotional one for us and we can’t wait to play for you and celebrate together in this legendary venue. Merci Paris 🇫🇷”

Pierre, Chuck, Jeff and Sebastien also decided to take a photo in front of the venue this afternoon, surrounded by hundreds of their (not just) local fans. Check out all the photos of Simple Plan before tonight’s show in Bataclan, which are now available in our gallery (thanks Yva for the behind the scenes of the photoshoot photo):
