Simple Plan will get political in the concept of their new music video which will raise funds for Ukraine

Just like all of us, the members of Simple Plan have also been utterly heartbroken by the atrocious acts by Russia in Ukraine, which has been under attack by the Russian troops for nearly 2 months now. And the band decided not to just stand still, but act.

Today, Simple Plan published the behind the scenes video for the upcoming music video for ‘Wake Me Up (When This Nightmare’s Over)’, which will be officially released tomorrow. In it, the band revealed that the video has been directed by Jensen Noen, who’s previously directed videos like ‘The Antidote’ or ‘Ruin My Life’, who also happens to be Ukrainian. With his help and the help of many cast and crew members, the band put together what seems to be an anti-war music video – particularly focused on the topic of the current war in Ukraine. Many Ukrainian people also actually took part in the video as extras.

In the behind the scenes video, the band has confirmed that through this video, they will aim to raise funds for Ukrainian families and children. We expect to find out more about this initiative tomorrow when the actual music video premieres.

Read what the band had to say about the video so far:
