PHOTO: 3OH!3 continue working with Simple Plan

As it was announced yesterday, via the picture from Sean Foreman’s Instagram account, 3OH!3 are currently working with Chuck and Pierre from Simple Plan on their newest album. The news got confirmed also by Chuck, who posted an Instagram photo of all four men involved: Pierre, Sean & Nate (3OH!3) and Chuck from another one of their sessions.

It is currently unknown whether the guys are working together only lyrically/musically or if perhaps we will be able to hear some 3OH!3 featuring on one of the new Simple Plan songs. The only thing that Chuck did let the fans know was that 3OH!3 are the “nicest dudes and super talented!”. Check out the picture below:

And also – speaking of Amasic, you can look forward to one special little update regarding them tomorrow, right here on SimplePlan.cz!

MKTO on Simple Plan: “They’re awesome dudes!”

During their recent visit of Montreal, Confront Magazine had the opportunity to interview Malcolm and Tony from the band MKTO. And since Montreal is the home of Simple Plan, who have collaborated with MKTO on “Summer Paradise” last year, Confront couldn’t forget to ask them about how this collaboration came about.

Check out an excerpt from this interview, in which MKTO discuss Simple Plan:

CONFRONT: Now, I’m going to bring up your collaboration with Simple Plan because they are from here so you may have gained some fans here through that.

TONY: Absolutely, we appreciate any support! I grew up listening to Simple Plan and we got to hang out with them and they were dope. Pierre was awesome; such a nice guy.

MALCOLM: We rode scooters on the beach!

CONFRONT: Sounds awesome! And how did that come along?

BOTH: Our producers!

TONY: They had written “Summer Paradise” for Simple Plan and I think they had so many remixes of it already but when they asked us, we said we’d love to do it; they’re awesome dudes.

MALCOLM: It was fun.

CONFRONT: That’s their way of releasing something for fans.

TONY: Absolutely and that’s what it’s all about!

Amasic to release a song co-written by Pierre and Chuck from Simple Plan

In the Simple Plan fandom, the young Canadian band Amasic is pretty well known by now. Their lead singer Janick Thibault has previously recorded (and posted on YouTube) many Simple Plan covers that have reached hundreds of thousands of views and recently the band has even opened for Simple Plan on a festival in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce in August, where Amasic’s bass player Matt McCormack even joined Simple Plan on stage for a bit.

The guys from Amasic have formed a little bond with the members of Simple Plan over the years and recently also had the time to co-write a song with Simple Plan’s own Pierre Bouvier and Chuck Comeau. According to Amasic’s Facebook page, the band started recording this song in the studio on Thursday with the producer Luc Tellier and it should be featured on the band’s upcoming EP (thanks a lot to Spikia for the info).
