Simple Plan premiered a brand new song “The Rest Of Us” on Ca Commence Bien

Very surprisingly, during the previously announced appearance of Chuck and Sebastien at their friend’s Patrick Langlois’ morning TV show “Ca Commence Bien”, the boys exclusively premiered a brand new song from their upcoming (yet untitled) EP – “The Rest Of Us”.

Also, according to Chuck and Seb, the two are apparently working on “one more surprise for the end of the month” in the MOTH studio right now for Idobi radio. Any guesses on what that might be about? :)

AUDIO: Jeff Stinco on 92.5 The Beat of Montreal

Jeff Stinco dropped by The Beat of Montreal radio station this week to talk about the upcoming Simple Plan Foundation benefit event that will be taking place on November 12th at the Corona Theatre and even decided to give away 10 pairs of tickets for the show.

In the short audio that aired today and that you can listen to below, Jeff also told the host Anne-Marie Withenshaw (who will also be hosting the SPF event) that the band might even play a new song during their performance on Tuesday.

Simple Plan might release new EP this month!

In a brand new interview that TheMusic.com.au’s Benny Doyle conducted with Chuck Comeau, Simple Plan’s drummer revealed that the upcoming EP (exact release date is expected to be revealed any day now) might even be release before Simple Plan hit Australia for Warped Tour – and since the first Warped show is scheduled for November 29th (Brisbane), we might get some new SP music already this month!

Songwriting sessions for an anticipated fifth record have started in earnest under the Californian sunshine. However, before they get down to serious business, Simple Plan are going to give us a musical wedge in the way of an EP. Comeau hopes the bridging release – a first for the band – will be out before their Warped visit.

Sebastien’s appearance at CKOI 96.9: “EP will be released before Xmas!”

This evening, Sebastien Lefebvre paid a visit to a Montreal-based radio station – CKOI 96.9 to talk mostly about the band’s upcoming annual benefit event for the Simple Plan Foundation. Thanks to Sab you can check out a little recap of what Sebastien talked about:

– since Coeur de Pirate (who co-wrote Jet Lag) will be present at the Simple Plan Foundation event, Seb said she might be joining them and finally sing it live

– Simple Plan are currently writing songs for a new (5th) album

– EP will be released before Christmas

The last piece of information is very interesting at even though the release date is still to be determined (according to Chuck it should be this week), so far we only knew it was sometimes before the end of 2013 but the releasing the EP before Christmas could mean that perhaps we could be getting a new Simple Plan Christmas song!

Simple Plan to announce EP’s release date next week!

After weeks of working hard on the new EP that should feature about 7 song that have been previously written for Simple Plan last studio album “Get Your Heart On!” but didn’t make the final cut, the band will be mixing the final song of the EP tomorrow and according to Chuck the release date should be known as soon as next week!
