For the first time in Simple Plan’s career, the band will perform on the Indonesian island Bali! Simple Plan will be taking part in the local Soundrenaline festival on September 3rd, that is a day before their next stop in Indonesia – in Jakarta.

Last week Simple Plan announced a bunch of tourdates for the remaining months of 2016, which include tours in the U.S., Canada, South America and Southeast Asia. For Southeast Asia, Simple Plan announced only 4 dates so far – in Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea and Singapore – but they promised that more dates are in works and that more announcements would follow. And it looks like they will truly be holding on to that promise!
The Indonesian promoter Original Production announced on their Twitter profile that Simple Plan would be coming back to Jakarta, Indonesia and that the fans should stay tuned for more info coming soon. In a later reply to one of the fans though, the promoter announced that the concert would be taking place on September 4th – that means in between the dates in South Korea and Singapore. Simple Plan are yet to confirm this show themselves, but as the promoter has already announced it, the band’s announcement probably won’t take much longer. A couple weeks ago when Simple Plan visited Indonesia for the appearance at Viva La Vida, during a ride in a van, Chuck, Seb and Jeff were asked if they heard about Harlem Shake. If you don’t know, Harlem Shake is a viral trend that appeared online a few months ago (we even did a SP fans’ style Harlem Shake on a recent fans’ meet-up!).
The guys decided to answer the reporter’s question with their own Harlem Shakem, which you can check out on the video below, which documents the arrival and behind the scenes of Simple Plan in Jakarta, Indonesia (thanks Ady and @SimplePlanID for the link):
While in Indonesia, the guys from Simple Plan attended the taping of a local TV program called “Pesbukers”. I think absolutely no introduction to the following two videos in necessary. Just… watch it:
Today, Simple Plan’s performance was one of the highlights of ANTV’s 20th anniversary event called “Viva La Vida” in Jakarta, Indonesia. The band performed nine songs in total (although only six of them were streamed live) and below you can check out the full setlist of this show:
