Second Tokyo concert added & opening acts for Japanese tour announced

After Simple Plan finish the upcoming U.S. and Canadian tours, they will have a few weeks to rest at home before they will return on the road and hop on a plane to one of their favorite countries to tour: Japan! The band will appear in Nagoya, Tokyo and Osaka this October.

And due to a big demand, Simple Plan just added a second show in Tokyo, for October 17th. This show will take place in a different (and slightly smalled) club than the one the following day – Simple Plan will perform in the 1300-capacity Tsutaya O-East club. The next day, SP will play at Zepp Tokyo for about 2700 people.

Opening acts for this short Japanese tour have also been announced! On all four Japanese dates, Simple Plan will be accompanied by USS, an alternative Canadian duo that is managed by Coaliton Music management, just like Simple Plan. Plus, the fans who are to attend the show in Nagoya and the second show in Tokyo (October 18th) will also get to see the Japanese band Dizzy Sunfist.

New old-school photoshoots from Japan (2003)

Have a look into the gallery today for some “new” photoshoots of Simple Plan from their early 20s, when they visited Japan in 2003. The first photoshoot was taken by Kentaro Kanbe and the second one by Teppei Kishida. Our boys grew up quite a bit since then, eh? :)

Photo diary from Simple Plan’s tour in Japan

Earlier this year, in the beginning of April, Simple Plan returned to one of their favorite countries – Japan – where they performed at a number of festivals and their own shows. During their stay there, there were followed by the people from Live Nation TV with some disposable cameras, who took some amazing behind the scenes photos of the band in Japan.
