Simple Plan to perform at Telehit awards in Mexico

As Pierre and Chuck teased in their recent webchat, Simple Plan are indeed going back to Mexico this month!

It has just been officially announced that the band would be performing at Premios Telehit 2015, a music award show organised by the mexican music TV station Telehit. The award show will take place on November 26th in the Foro Sol arena in Mexico City, Mexico. Besides Simple Plan, other international artists will be taking part in this event including One Direction and Fifth Harmony.

PHOTOS: Last show in Mexico

On Monday, Simple Plan finished their Mexican tour by playing one more show for the capital – Mexico City. After that the band headed to Brazil, where they arrived earlier today and as suspected, were greeted by tons of local fans.

Pierre and Seb wrestling in the middle of a concert in Mexico City

You never know what might happen on a Simple Plan show! After attending the wrestling match in Puebla, where all the band members got their super cool wrestling masks, the guys brought them up on stage on the show in Mexico City on Sunday (October 7th) and Pierre and Sebastien started a very improvised wrestling match right on the stage at the very beginning of their encore (between I’d Do Anything and Loser Of The Year).

You could have already spotted that on one of the pictures from the show in Mexico City (on the left), but now you can check out Seb’s and Pierre’s “fight” on a video below and see which one of the guys was pronounced a winner in the end:

Mexican tour continues in Puebla and Mexico City

During this past weekend, Simple Plan played another two shows in Mexico, again with no opening band at all. Make sure to check out the awesome pictures from the shows in Puebla (10/06) and Mexico City (10/07) in the gallery:

Also, the guys spent a part of the evening on Saturday attending a wrestling match in Puebla, from which we have two pictures of the guys wearing the traditional Mexican wrestling masks.
