Simple Plan to tour Mexico in July – tourdates announced!

While the band was up on stage in Stuttgart, Germany, news of their just announced tour in Mexico in July, began to spread rapidly all over the Internet. Simple Plan will be returning to Mexico to play in 4 places: Merida, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City.

From the poster accompanying the announcement, we can also tell that there will once again be two supporting acts on this tour: Miranda Ibañez and Finde.

Brace yourselves, Mexico – Simple Plan are coming your way in just 3 months! Tickets will go on sale soon [I will update the ticket links once they’re released]. In the meantime, check out the info below:

Soundcheck for Telehit awards + livestream

In just a couple hours, Simple Plan will perform at the Telehit awards in Mexico City, Mexico. Besides Simple Plan, the fans will be able to see other international acts, such as One Direction and Fifth Harmony. If you have the time, you should be able to stream the event live on the Premios Telehit website – the show starts at 7pm local time (that is 8pm EST / 2am CET). According to Jeff’s tweet, Simple Plan should be on at around 9 pm local time (2 hours in the show – about 10 pm EST / 4am CET). Please note that it is a televised event and not a regular concert, therefore Simple Plan will most probably perform only a short setlist (e.g. one to three songs). Also, keep in mind that the livestream may be geo-blocked.

But back to SP: To prepare for this big event, Simple Plan arrived at the venue Foro Sol yesterday late afternoon for a soundcheck. And in the gallery, you can already check out a couple of pictures:

For all of yesterday and today, the guys from Simple Plan were busy giving a number of interviews to the local Mexican media in Mexico City, where they are to perform today at the Telehit awards. Have a look at some of the pictures from yesterday and today:

Fans welcomed Simple Plan in Mexico

Last night, the members of Simple Plan safely arrived at the airport in Mexico City, Mexico where they will perform tomorrow at the Telehit awards. And as it’s very common in the Central and South American countries, the boys were welcomed by a huge number of fans at the airport’s arrivals area.
