As many have guessed, after Simple Plan invited their old pal Mike Herrera from MXPX on stage the first night in Seattle, Mike Herrera decided to return the favor and invited one member of Simple Plan to join him on his podcast the following day. The choice was obvious: Sebastien. Since Seb has a podcast of his own, on the same radio station (Idobi radio), the two had loads to discuss.
The Mike Herrera Hour feat. Seb Lefebvre will air this Friday, September 8th at 8pm EST and to get you a bit more excited about it, you can check out Seb’s video of his journey to Mike’s studio below:
Last night Simple Plan performed at the first sold-out show in Seattle (with second show added for tonight) at Neptune Theatre and 2 800 people gathered there to witness quite a special show!
The best part came in the middle of the No Pads set, when after ‘God Must Hate Me’ the band welcomed their old friend Mike Herrera from MXPX on stage and together they performed the song ‘Responsibility’ by MXPX. You may recall that the last time Simple Plan performed this song with Mike was at the 2015 APMAs.
After the show, Mike wrote on Instagram about being reunited with his old friends from Simple Plan:
“So good to see my Simple Plan dudes. We toured together years ago and have shared the stage many times. These guys are all-pro legends! Thanks for the hospitality guys! I love you guys!! Go see this show – there’s a lot of killer music packed into one night!
The setlist of the show was therefore one song longer and looked like this:
1. I’d Do Anything
2. The Worst Day Ever
3. You Don’t Mean Anything
4. I’m Just A Kid
5. When I’m With You
6. Meet You There
7. Addicted
8. My Alien
9. God Must Hate Me
10. Responsibility (MXPX cover)
11. I Won’t Be There
12. One Day
13. Grow Up
14. Perfect
Encore:
15. Shut Up!
16. Jump
17. Boom
18. Your Love Is A Lie
19. This Song Saved My Life
20. Crazy
21. Welcome To My Life

Simple Plan just shared online a brand new vlog, which recaps their recent appearance at the Alternative Press Music Awards. Check out Pierre and Mike Herrera (MXPX) talking about it below:
The Alternative Press Music Awards took place last night, July 22nd, in Cleveland, Ohio and the most of the alternative scene was there: from New Found Glory to All Time Low. And of course, our boys from Simple Plan were there as well – attending the red carpet, being nominated for the Artist Philantrophic award and also perfroming later that night.
And while unfortunately Simple Plan did not win the award (as it went to Taking Back Sunday), the guys enjoyed whole evening quite a lot. On the red carpet, the band members gave a lot of interviews (that are surely coming up in the next few days), took lots of photos and by the end of the night the guys were even one of the world-wide trending topics on Twitter! Check out the APMAS gallery album with the first photos that pop up online (more HQ ones will be coming soon!):
Later on during the evening, Simple Plan were introduced by Memphis May Fire as “[a band that] played a big role in keeping pop-punk alive”. On the APMAS stage, Simple Plan performed three songs in total: “I’d Do Anything”, “Boom” and also a cover version of MXPX’s “Responsibility” featuring Mike Herrera from MXPX. Check out the whole performance on the video below:
On Saturday, September 20th, David Desrosiers attended the Music 4 Cancer festival, where he had the chance to hang out with his old friend Mike Herrera from MxPx and also with the organizer of the festival, Jay Epinat. Check out the two pictures from this event in the gallery:
