Set It Off tease one more NPNHJB tour to be announced for the U.S.

The American band Set It Off, who will alongside Seaway open for Simple Plan on their No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour in the United States released a new video yesterday. In it, the band members play the 7 Second Challenge, after which they didn’t forget to mention that they are heading out on tour with Simple Plan soon.

According to Set It Off’s final message, there is one more date for the United States tour still to be announced! It is currently unknown where or when this tourdate will be taking place or when it is going to be announced, however U.S. fans should be on a look-out for one more addition to this already almost sold-out tour!

Simple Plan announce opening bands for Canadian tour: Plain White T’s, Set It Off and Seaway

Despite the earlier rumors of different possible opening bands for the Canadian tour, Simple Plan just officially announced the full line-up of this Taking One For The Team tour in their homeland. The band will be joined by the same bands as on the U.S. NPNHJB tour – Set If Off and Seaway – and to make this tour even more special, the guys will be bringing also their old friends Plain White T’s!

But read carefully – you won’t be able to see all four bands share one stage! While Set It Off will perform at each of the 4 tourdates, Seaway will perform only at the first date in London, Plain White T’s will then replace Seaway and perform in Quebec City, Toronto and Montreal.

SP and Plain White T’s have quite a long history together. Back in 2005, the bands toured together in the U.S., Pierre named his dog Delilah after one of PWT’s most popular songs ‘Hey There Delilah’, they also got to catch up a couple times over the years and most importantly, the lead singer of Plain White T’s Tom Higgenson co-wrote the song ‘Perfectly Perfect’ with Pierre and Chuck.

Will be get to hear Tom on stage with SP again in March and possibly sing ‘Perfectly Perfect’ together? We shall see!

Opening bands for NPNHJB tour Set It Off and Seaway stoked to tour with Simple Plan

Just about a week ago, Simple Plan announced the first leg of their 15th anniversary No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls tour in the United States, where Simple Plan are once again bringing not just one, but two opening bands – Set It Off and Seaway.

And it looks like our boys are in for some very good and fun touring buddies!

The guys from Set It Off, currently a four-piece pop-punk band from Florida, recently filmed a Q&A with questions submitted by their fans on Twitter. In one of the questions, answered by the band’s lead guitarist Dan Clermont, a fan asked the band about how they felt when they learned they would be touring with Simple Plan.

Check out Dan’s answer below:

Q: Were you shocked in any way to be invited to tour with [Simple Plan] or has shock just kind of moot at this point?

Dan Clermont (Set It Off): We were pretty… I wouldn’t say shocked, but it was like a surprising offer to come around. We’ve done Warped Tour with them a couple times in the past, but it’s only been like a few dates here and there, so we’ve never really had a lot of time to hang out and really get to know each other. So we were really excited that they wanted to take us out on tour. For their 15th anniversary tour. It’s pretty insane that we’re gonna be there to celebrate that with them. So we’re pretty pumped.

And we definitely can’t forget about the second opening band either – the pop-punkers Seaway from Canada – who were very witty in their reaction to the tour announcement, when they tweeted the following picture of the band members and in a reference to the title of Simple Plan’s debut album, they asked: “Yo Simple Plan, jis it cool if we bring our pads and helmets on tour?”

Faber Drive’s new album with Pierre’s and Chuck’s collaboration is out

Just like it was with their last album “Can’t Keep A Secret”, for which the Canadian band Faber Drive invited Chuck and Pierre from Simple Plan to co-write a couple of songs, the band invited the boys from Simple Plan again, to help them with their third studio record, called “Lost In Paradise”.

And even though Chuck says him and Pierre co-wrote only two songs for Faber Drive’s new album – that is “Do It In Hollywood” and “Too Little, Too Late”, according to this sneak peak of the “Lost In Paradise” booklet, you can see that Chuck and Pierre also worked on a song called “Set It Off”, meaning that out of 10 songs on this record, Chuck and Pierre co-wrote three of them.

“Lost In Paradise” was released on iTunes today, where you can either purchase it or (if you’re still hesitating) you can also check out previews of all of the songs on the record.
