Simple Plan to sign autographs in Sydney + Warped Tour Twitter take over

Tomorrow, on December 1st 2013, Simple Plan will be available at the signing tent at Warped Tour in Sydney, Australia and signing autographs! The boys will be available at table 4 at 5:30pm!

And speaking of Warped Tour, it has been announced that Simple Plan will be taking over the official Warped Tour Twitter account on the day of their off-Warped Tour show in Perth – on December 3rd, at 9pm of local time (6am EST, noon CET). So make sure to follow @WarpedAU to not miss any of their tweets!

MTV EXIT’s music video was filmed in Sydney, Australia

Ever since the news about Simple Plan and MTV EXIT (charity organisation that deals with spreading the word about the problem of human trafficking) planning to release an exclusive music video this Friday, November 2nd, was revealed, lots of you have been trying to figure out which song Simple Plan might have chosen for this project and whether it’s going to be the next single.

Although we still don’t know the answer to that, what we do know (thanks to Anna who pointed it out to me), according to the tweet posted in August by a MTV EXIT representative Rebecca, the location where the video was made is Sydney, Australia (co-incidentally the same place that Simple Plan headed to right after their visit of Vietnam where they met up with MTV EXIT for the first time). Although SP were not in Australia when the tweet was posted, so it’s quite possible that the parts filmed in Sydney are the ones not including the band.

Simple Plan received an honorary plaque from Warner Music Australia

On June 1st, the day that Simple Plan were performing in Sydney, Australia, the band has received from the local representatives of their label, Warner Music, an honorary plaque to commemorate the outstanding achievement of “Get Your Heart On!” being certified gold in Australia and the singles “Jet Lag” and “Summer Paradise” both becoming double platinum.

PHOTOS: Simple Plan kick off Australian tour in Sydney

Simple Plan’s first stop in Australia was Sydney today on June 1st. The guys played for a sold-out arena with the same setlist as in Europe and from all the reactions I’ve seen on Twitter, it seemed to have been a really great show.

To make the night even more special for the audience, the band invited a local singer Christina Parie to join them on stage and sing Jet Lag with them. Christina was very excited about this experience and after her performance with Simple Plan, she called it “the BEST night of her life to date”.
