As it was teased last week, Simple Plan are indeed featured a little bit in the brand new music video by the British pop-punk band The Bottom Line, which opened for them on both parts of their European tour earlier this year.
Check out ‘Pull Me Out’ and try to guess at which shows all the shots from the music video were taken:
You may recall The Bottom Line as the opening band for Simple Plan on both legs of their European tour earlier this year. The British foursome – Matt, Callum, Max and Tom – will be shortly releasing a new SP “I Still Hate You” very soon and ahead of that they decided to release the first single from this EP called “Pull Me Out”. The single will be dropping this Monday, November 14th and that won’t be all!
According to the band’s most recent post on social media, it seems like they will also be accompanying the new single with a music video – and not only that, it will feature some footage of Simple Plan from their tour with The Bottom Line! At least that’s what we can tell from the message and the picture they posted, which features Pierre, all members of The Bottom Line, SP’s sound engineer Frank and Danny, their EU tour manager.
Ever wondered what it’s like drinking beer and dancing to country music with Simple Plan ? Check back Monday to find out! #PullMeOut #ISHY
Simple Plan published a new picture on Instagram yesterday, which comes from the backstage in Oslo, Norway, where the band had to say farewell to their opening acts The Bottom Line and ROAM, who accompanied them at the second part of their European tour [and who won’t be continuing at the last five stops of the tour]. Pictured on the image are all members of Simple Plan, The Bottom Line, ROAM, as well as most of their crew members.
The band accompanied the picture with the following message:
Official #teamsptour photo was taken yesterday in Oslo. It was a real pleasure to have The Bottom Line and ROAM on tour with us. Amazing musicians and even better friends! Thanks for playing with us… you guys rule and we will miss you. Also a huge thank you to our awesome crew, the drivers, the promoters and everyone who make the shows possible. We couldn’t do it without you! 5 more shows to go starting with Stockholm tomorrow and then Helsinki! Let’s do this! See you at the shows! #TeamSP
Last night Simple Plan said hello to their fans in Oslo, Norway but unfortunately also had to say their goodbyes to their opening bands The Bottom Line and ROAM, who due to high costs of travelling with their equipment to the remaining countries on the tour, were not able to continue to play the remaining dates of the TOFTT tour. But both opening bands made sere to go out with a bang. Their sets were on fire, Pierre was even seen watching The Bottom Line performing their cover of ‘Teenage Dirtbag’, having a great time, and during Simple Plan’s ‘Crazy’, The Bottom Line guys were spotted by the band and also some fans running around the balcony… completely naked [thanks to Jenna for the info].
You can check out their final stage invasion along with ROAM during Simple Plan’s party medley on the video below:
Also, check out the full setlist of the Simple Plan show last night – as you can see, the band once again prolonged their set by adding ‘Thank You’ (because Callum from The Bottom Line requested it) to the mix as a surprise and also replaced ‘Perfect World’ once again with ‘Me Against The World’:
1. Opinion Overload
2. Jet Lag
3. Jump (‘I Gotta Feeling‘ snippet) 4. I’d Do Anything
5. Boom
6. Welcome to My Life
7. Kiss Me Like Nobody’s Watching
8. Take My Hand
9. Thank You
10. Singing In The Rain
11. Party medley (‚Uptown Funk‘ / ‚Can’t Feel My Face‘ cover) 12. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
13. Farewell
14. Summer Paradise
15. Crazy
16. I’m Just a Kid
Encore: 17. Shut Up!
18. Me Against The World
19. This Song Saved My life (no drums) 20. Perfect
And finally, some of the first pictures that already popped up online from last night’s SP show in Oslo, can already be viewed in the gallery. Check them out:
After the show in Luxembourg last night, the opening band The Bottom Line did another one of their popular after show acoustic sets, where (among other songs) they also covered Simple Plan’s ‘Welcome To My Life’.
You can now have a look at TBL’s rendition of this song on the video below [big thanks to Yva for capturing it]:
